In the first playoff game of Mariota’s career, his team fell behind 21-3 in Arrowhead against Kansas City, but they stayed composed and came back to win, 22-21. Mariota was 19/31 for 205 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception along with eight carries for 46 rushing yards and a six-yard touchdown reception. The touchdown reception was from himself, and it was the second time in NFL history it happened (and first time in a playoff game). It really got the team going, and Mariota converted key third downs down the stretch and threw a dime to Eric Decker in the end zone for 22 yards late in the fourth quarter to take the lead. And then on a drive to ice the game, Mariota threw a key block on third down that sprung Derrick Henry for a first down. The third-year quarterback is simply a great young player that stepped up when his team needed him most, and he’ll now look to keep it going in the Divisional Round next week.

Tommylee Lewis handles one offensive touch in win over the Panthers.
It was a rush for negative-four yards on a third-down conversion attempt early in the game. Lewis handled punts after that. He will look to make some plays next Sunday against Minnesota’s elite defense in the NFC Divisional Round.

Travis Kelce (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of today’s game.
Kelce couldn’t get cleared after he took a big hit to the helmet late in the first half, and he officially has a concussion and won’t be back for the game. If Kansas City is able to hold on against the Titans and advance to the Divisional Round, Kelce will have seven or eight days to get cleared to face the Patriots or Steelers. Before leaving, Kelce had four receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a 13-yard fade type of route from his tight end position.

Fozzy Whittaker gets one carry in Wild Card Round.
Whittaker gained three yards on his lone carry in the playoff loss to New Orleans. He should be back in Carolina as someone that’ll chip in behind Christian McCaffrey and others in the backfield.

Travis Kelce heads to locker room after taking hit to the head.
Kelce just took a big hit with under two minutes to go in the first half of the Wild Card game against the Titans, and it appears he’s headed to concussion protocol. The star tight end was very wobbly when he got up from the hit, so it might be a stretch to expect him to return today. Hopefully we get some good news, but we’ll update you Kelce’s status as more information becomes available.

Zach Line scores in win over the Panthers.
Line rushed for a one-yard touchdown in the second on his only carry of the game. He also caught a seven-yard pass. New Orleans’ fullback will look to do his part next Sunday in Minnesota against the rested Vikings.

Albert Wilson (hamstring) is officially active today.
Wilson was fully expected to be out there against the Titans in the Wild Card Round, and it’s now official. While he isn’t a highly-reccomended option if you’re playing playoff fantasy football, his presence in the lineup for the Chiefs should not be looked over. Wilson will look to make some big plays and help Kansas City advance to next weekend.
