Join now >Jimmy Garoppolo improves to 5-0 with the 49ers in season finale win.
Garoppolo was 20/33 for 292 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the 34-13 victory. He was facing the backups for Los Angeles, but Jimmy G is now 7-0 to start his career with the Patriots and Niners. In six appearances (five starts) this season, Garoppolo completed 67.4% of his passes for 1,560 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions, but he played better than the touchdown-interception ratio might suggest. Now, he will get a full offseason in Kyle Shanahan’s offense and will almost certainly have improved skill-position players around him in 2018. The sky is the limit for San Francisco, and Garoppolo will be worth drafting as a solid QB1 option next summer.

Jameis Winston, Bucs end on a high note with Week 17 win over the Saints.
Winston was 28/51 for 363 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. He also rushed five times for 32 yards and another score. Jameis is still turning it over too much, but he made up for it with a 39-yard touchdown on a perfectly thrown ball to Chris Godwin that gave Tampa Bay their fifth win of the year. Overall, it was a disappointing season for Winston, but he completed a career-high 63.8% of his passes for 3,504 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 13 games. Jameis will have offensive continuity with Dirk Koetter retained as head coach, but he needs to clean a lot up to live up to his draft status. We probably won’t have him as a QB1 to start 2018, but the potential is there.

1/1/18 - 01:39 AM ET

Michael Thomas leads team in receiving as Saints fall to Bucs.
Thomas caught six passes for 94 yards, putting him over 100 receptions for the first time in his career. The former first-round pick built on his 92/1,137/9 line as a rookie with 104 receptions for 1,245 yards and five touchdowns in 2017. He will look to be a big part of a potential Super Bowl run for New Orleans.
