Mike Williams | Chargers WR

Mike Williams catches one pass in Week 17.

Williams gained eight yards in the final game of his rookie season. The big first-round receiver from Clemson had his training camp and early seaosn derailed by back issues, but it was good to see him get on the field and appear to be fully healthy for ten games. Williams had 11 receptions for 95 yards in his ten games, and he’s a great bet to start becoming a bigger contributor for the Chargers in 2018. As of now, it looks like he could be one of the better breakout candidates for next season.

Jakeem Grant | Free Agent WR

Jakeem Grant caught three passes for 26 yards in Sunday’s loss to Buffalo.

Grant exploded last week against the Chiefs, but he was contained in this one. The second-year receiver finishes the season with 13 receptions for 203 yards and two touchdowns. He should be able to earn a roster spot next summer as a return man and depth at receiver.

1/1/18 - 01:13 AM ET

Theo Riddick | Retired RB

Theo Riddick gets six touches to end the regular season.

Riddick had four carries for ten yards and two receptions for 12 yards against the Packers. His regular season ends with 84 carries for 286 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns along with 53 receptions for 444 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. He should have a role as a third-down back for the Lions in 2018.

12/31/17 - 11:08 PM ET

Mike Evans | Buccaneers WR

Mike Evans caught five passes for 55 yards in Sunday’s win over the Saints.

Evans was contained by Marshon Lattimore for most of the day, but he was able to just reach 1,000 yards for the fourth-straight season to start his career. Evans’ exact numbers in 2017 were 71 receptions for 1,001 yards and five touchdowns. Fantasy owners who spent an early pick on him were probably disappointed, but he will look to bounce back in 2018. We wouldn’t overspend on him, though, and Chris Godwin will be the much better value next summer.

1/1/18 - 02:01 AM ET

Austin Hooper | Patriots TE

Austin Hooper caught three passes for 35 yards in Sunday’s win over the Panthers.

Hooper’s biggest impact came on a 24-yard gain. The second-year tight end didn’t have the breakout some might have expected after a huge season opener, as he finished with 49 receptions for 526 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games (eight starts). Hooper will look to emerge in the postseason for the six-seeded Falcons. They face the Rams next Saturday night.

1/1/18 - 12:25 AM ET

De'Veon Smith | Dolphins RB

De’Veon Smith gets first career NFL touches in Week 17 loss.

Smith caught three passes for 27 yards. The 23-year-old out of Michigan will look to earn a roster spot someplace next summer.

1/1/18 - 01:11 AM ET

Ameer Abdullah | Free Agent RB

Ameer Abdullah scores against the Packers.

Abdullah had eight carries for 18 yards and a touchdown along with one reception for 11 yards in the Week 17 victory. The third-year back was pretty much healthy for most of the year, but he struggled to do much behind an offensive line that was struggling to open up running lanes for him. Abdullah carried 165 times for 552 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns along with 25 receptions for 162 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in 14 games played. The expectations and talks of 200+ carries were not met, but we’ll see what a potentially new coaching staff has in store for 2018.
