Join now >Evan Engram (ribs) remains out of practice.
The rookie tight end is unlikely to play this week to end the season, as the Giants are way out of playoff contention and aren’t going to have Engram suffer a more serious injury by playing through his rib issue. He might be ruled out tomorrow.

Allen Hurns (ankle) remains limited in practice.
Hurns is looking iffy for Week 17 against the Titans, but we’ll see how he’s listed on the official injury report when it’s released tomorrow.

DeAndre Hopkins (calf) will not play in the season finale, according to John McClain.
Hopkins’ calf injury isn’t thought to be serious, but the Texans are sitting their start receiver out to end the season against the Colts. This is obviously a major blow to fantasy owners still vying for a title in Week 17, but they have to be happy with Hopkins’ outstanding season. After signing a record deal for a wide receiver, the Texans certainly got their money’s worth by feeding him a ton of targets. Hopkins had 96 receptions for 1,378 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, and he should get a healthy Deshaun Watson back in 2018. He’ll offer among the highest floors in fantasy football next season.

Malcolm Mitchell (knee) is practicing for the Patriots.
Mitchell has been on injured reserve all season with a knee issue, but his return to practice opens up a three-week window for him to be activated to the active roster—which would happen as early as this week. The second-year receiver emerged as a reliable target for Tom Brady during the team’s Super Bowl run as a rookie, and he’d give a nice boost to the receiving corps if he does return. Hopefully Mitchell is able to get out there and contribute for the Patriots.

Melvin Gordon (ankle) says he’ll play in Week 17.
We weren’t concerned about Gordon’s status, but Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said he’ll be evaluated on Friday. However, Gordon says he’s good, which is no surprise considering this is a must-win game for his team if they’re going to have a shot at making the playoffs. He might not be 100%, but Gordon is still safe to insert into fantays lineups as an RB1 with many fantasy titles on the line.

Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) did not practice today.
Sanders is said to be “sore,” and it doesn’t look like he’ll play in Week 17 against the Chiefs. Even if he is active for the season finale, it’d be difficult to trust Sanders in fantasy lineups.
12/27/17 - 07:29 PM ET
Jared Goff won’t play in the season finale.
The Rams are resting some key players like Goff and Todd Gurley, as they aren’t too concerned with how the playoff bracket shakes out between the four teams in the 3-6 seeds in the NFC. Goff’s excellent regular season ends with 3,804 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, and seven interceptions, and a 62.1% completion percentage. He also had 51 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown while helping lead the Rams to an 11-4 record. Those that said Goff was a bust after seven games last season could not have been proven more wrong by the young quarterback, and he’ll look to have a big postseason when he takes the field.
