It was Martino’s only catch of the game, but it came on the final drive to pick up a first down before Tampa Bay missed a field goal as time expired. He isn’t a fantasy option.

Chris Godwin catches 18-yard pass in MNF loss.
It was the rookie’s only reception of the game, but he was pointed out for making a nice special teams tackle. Godwin has a very bright future in the NFL, but he shouldn’t be owned in redraft leagues.

Alan Cross forced into action after injuries to Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard.
The versatile fullback basically operated as a tight end when the starting duo went down with leg injuries, but Brate was able to return to the game. Cross finished with one reception for 23 yards, but also dropped a would-be first down on a sliding catch attempt. He isn’t a fantasy option.

Cameron Brate caught four passes for 49 yards in Monday night’s loss to Atlanta.
Brate missed a chunk of the action with a knee injury, but he returned and was involved, including on the final drive of the game. With O.J. Howard twisting his foot/ankle pretty good against the Falcons, Brate could see more targets over the final two weeks of the season. In Week 16, he should be considered a TE1 option against Carolina.

Mike Evans catches 42-yard touchdown in loss to the Falcons.
Evans had five receptions for 79 yards and the touchdown—a jump ball over two defenders—in the loss, but he also committed an offensive pass interference penalty and showed more immaturity on the sidelines. The 24-year-old has struggled for most of the season, but he needs to do a much better job of not showing his frustration. Carolina likely won’t make things easy for him next Sunday, and Evans suddenly isn’t a WR1 again after one good game. Consider him a midrange WR2 on Christmas Eve.

Adam Humphries provides clutch play in loss to the Falcons.
Humphries caught five passes for 43 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown to cut the lead to three late in the fourth quarter. He also rushed once for six yards and returned a punt 19 yards to set up Tampa Bay nicely on the final drive that resulted in a missed field goal as time expired. Humphries could be a factor next week if DeSean Jackson (ankle) misses more time, but he won’t be a strong fantasy option.

Peyton Barber handles all the carries in MNF loss.
Barber rushed 13 times for 53 yards and caught three passes for 15 yards. He also lost a fumble in the red zone, but the second-year back showed good power and determination in a 24-21 defeat. Barber won’t be a recommended fantasy option next week against Carolina’s elite run defense, but he probably earned another start.
