Join now >The Texans are acquiring Anthony Miller.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, Miller is being moved from Chicago to Houston with a swap of late-round draft picks, so this is basically a move that gets Miller a fresh start. The former second-round pick of the Bears has exciting potential and caught seven touchdowns as a rookie, but things just didn’t work out how either party would have liked. The Texans have been very aggressive in adding talent under first-year general manager Nick Caserio, and Miller will look to compete for a big role in offense this summer.

Justin Watson (knee) is expected to miss four months.
Watson had a procedure on his knee, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This is tough luck for someone that might be on the roster bubble, but Watson will look to get healthy and potentially contribute during the regular season. From a fantasy perspective, Watson is off the redraft radar.

Michael Thomas is expected to miss the start of the 2021 following ankle surgery, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport says that Thomas had surgery in June to repair ligaments in his ankle, and the recommended recovery time of four months could lead to a lengthy absence. The injury dates back to last September, as Thomas’ ankle simply never fully recovered. The former All-Pro wideout obviously still needs to be drafted in all leagues, but fantasy owners will have to be patient—and hope that he’s back to 100% for what is clearly a tricky issue. This news is a blow to whoever starts at quarterback for New Orleans (particularly if it were Jameis Winston), but Tre’Quan Smith gets a big boost as a player that was already severely undervalued as the team’s No. 2 wideout.

The Giants have placed Kyle Rudolph (foot) on the active/PUP list.
Rudolph is expected to be ready for Week 1, but hopefully his time off the field doesn’t last too long as he hopes to establish himself with a new team. The veteran is entering his age-31/32 campaign.

The Giants have placed Saquon Barkley (knee) on the active/PUP list.
This was the expectation, and it has sounded like Barkley might be eased back in slowly as he works back to full strength. Still, the upside is undeniable, and New York should eventually feature Saquon as their offensive centerpiece—making him worthy of a top-five pick.

Amari Cooper (ankle) to begin training camp on PUP list.
Cooper won’t be quite ready for the start of training camp, but this was expected after he had a “minor” ankle procedure. Expect the Cowboys to take things slow with Cooper ahead of the regular season, but he should be full-go for Week 1. We might get an inside look at Cooper’s status on HBO’s Hard Knocks next month.

The Rams waived Nsimba Webster.
Webster has spent each of the past two seasons with the Rams after going undrafted in 2019, and he profiles as a guy that could easily rejoin the team in the coming days or weeks. But we’ll see if Webster, who has plus return ability, will land with another squad.
