Richard Rodgers | Free Agent TE

Richard Rodgers makes an impact in Aaron Rodgers’ return.

Rodgers caught four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in the 31-24 loss. The 25-year-old was able to catch one down the seam for a 24-yard score in the fourth quarter, and he also had another big gain of 36 yards. Rodgers is unlikely to have a repeat performance in Week 16 against the Vikings; he can remain on the waiver wire.

Randall Cobb | Free Agent WR

Randall Cobb leads team in receiving as Packers fall to Panthers.

Cobb caught seven passes for 84 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. Aaron Rodgers clearly made a difference in his return based on playmaking ability alone, as he was able to break contain and find receivers from outside the pocket. However, Green Bay couldn’t pull off a comeback win, and they are now long shots for the postseason. Cobb will be no better than a decent FLEX option against Minnesota on Saturday night.

12/18/17 - 12:11 PM ET

Jamaal Williams | Free Agent RB

Jamaal Williams contained in loss to the Panthers.

Williams rushed 10 times for 30 yards and was held without a reception. The rookie was out-gained by fellow rookie Aaron Jones 46-30 on the ground, and Jones did it on just three attempts, so Green Bay could shake things up in Week 16. Williams will be difficult to trust against Minnesota on Saturday night.

Aaron Jones | Vikings RB

Aaron Jones handles four touches in loss to Carolina.

Jones rushed three times for 47 yards, which led the team, also adding a six-yard reception. Starter Jamaal Williams was held to 30 yards on 10 attempts, and Jones showed considerably more burst, which gave Green Bay a jolt in the second half. The Packers will probably have the rookies split the workload next week against Minnesota, but it’s difficult to trust either against their elite defense.

Aaron Rodgers | Free Agent QB

Aaron Rodgers, Packers likely eliminated from playoff contention with 31-24 loss to Carolina.

Making his return from a broken collarbone, Rodgers was 26/45 for 290 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also did damage as a runner with six carries for 43 yards. The two-time NFL MVP looked like himself from a playmaking standpoint, but he wasn’t as sharp as we’re used to seeing as a passer, as two of his interceptions were under thrown, including a would-be deep touchdown to Jordy Nelson. If the Falcons win on Monday Night Football, Green Bay will be eliminated from playoff contention, so it’ll be interesting to see if they just decide to go with Brett Hundley over the final two games to keep Rodgers healthy. The superstar quarterback would be a solid QB1 at home against the Vikings on Saturday night if he plays.

12/18/17 - 12:03 PM ET

Brandon Coleman | Free Agent WR

Brandon Coleman loses two fumbles in win over the Jets.

Coleman caught three passes for 20 yards, but he fumbled twice in New York territory, essentially keeping them in the game. Fortunately for him, New Orleans held on, but his role could take a hit next week. He won’t be a recommended fantasy option against Atlanta on Christmas Eve.

12/18/17 - 11:37 AM ET

Josh Hill | Retired TE

Josh Hill catches one pass in win over the Jets.

It went for 22 yards. The 27-year-old isn’t a fantasy option on a loaded offense that revolves around Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, and Michael Thomas. Keep him on the waiver wire.
