Drew Brees | Retired QB

Drew Brees plays efficiently in 30-10 win over the Bucs.

Brees was 22/27 for 263 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. The first score came on an Alvin Kamara run-after-catch highlight, and the second was a 36-yard pass to Ted Ginn. If not for Tampa Bay doing nothing offensively, Brees might have been able to put up monster numbers, but New Orleans will take the win. They’ll try to win their seventh straight next week against Buffalo.

Martavis Bryant | Free Agent WR

Martavis Bryant was told to expect to be inactive on Sunday.

This is according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who said “team brass” told Bryant to be ready for it on Sunday, and the disgruntled receiver was reportedly demoted to the scout team during practice while Justin Hunter took his reps. As Rapoport notes, maybe the Steelers are just doing this to see how he responds, but it’d be the least bit surprising if Bryant was inactive this week. He’s simply causing too many issues, and the Steelers would probably be better off without him active on game days for now. Again, he obviously has massive fantasy potential, but Bryant does not need to be on rosters right now if you need the roster space.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones comes up big for Lions in Week 8.

The Lions didn’t come out with the victory, but Jones played very well and worked as a reliable target for Matthew Stafford throughout the game. Jones caught four of eight targets for 88 yards, as he showed toughness while making catches in the Cover 2 hole with the safety crashing down to hit him. This was probably the best game of Jones’ career so far, and he’ll continue to have a role even if rookie Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is healthy in Week 9.

Frank Gore | Retired RB

Frank Gore runs well against the Bengals.

The veteran running back carried 16 times for 82 yards and also added four receptions (on four targets) for 19 yards. Gore does have rookie Marlon Mack pushing for touches, but he’s expected to be the lead guy moving forward—even on a team that’s struggling and may not compete for the playoffs this season. He’ll remain an RB2/FLEX option next week at Houston.

10/30/17 - 10:06 AM ET

Jeremy Maclin | Retired WR

Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) is questionable for Week 9.

Maclin played last Thursday against the Dolphins and finished the game without any known issues, so while the shoulder is probably still giving him some discomfort, it’d be a surprise if he wasn’t out there versus the Titans on Sunday. Maclin caught three passes for 53 yards and a touchdown in Week 8, and he’ll look to have another good game this weekend.

11/3/17 - 03:09 PM ET

Stefon Diggs | Patriots WR

Stefon Diggs (groin) is traveling to London with the team.

The fact that Diggs is going on the trip for the Week 8 game against Cleveland is a great sign, as he’ll probably be a game-time call at the worst. Also keep in mind that Diggs said this groin injury isn’t as bad as the one he had last season which forced him to miss three games, and he’s already missed two games with this current groin injury. Don’t lock it in yet, especially with the team’s Week 9 bye coming up means he could be held out ensure he’s 100%, but Diggs is a pretty good bet to return this week.

10/25/17 - 03:01 PM ET

Jimmy Graham | Free Agent TE

Jimmy Graham scores game-winner in Seahawks’ shootout win.

Graham, who is reportedly available for trade, started off the game slow; but he got going in the end and ended up with four receptions for 39 yards and two touchdowns, including a game-winner on an 18-yarder where Graham ran wide open through a zone defense for an easy pitch-and-catch with just over 20 seconds left in the game. Russell Wilson even called the play “bizarre” to see Graham that wide open. Graham now has a touchdown in three straight weeks, and he’ll remain a great option against the Redskins in Week 9—assuming he’s still with the Seahawks.
