Join now >Bruce Arians says he “would love” to get Adrian Peterson 25 carries per game.
Ahead of the Cardinals’ game in London, Arians spoke to NFL Network’s Stacey Dales, who asked how many carries he’d like to see the veteran running back get. It looks like Peterson’s heavy workload will continue if things go according to plan for the Cardinals. He’ll have some difficult matchups moving forward, but Peterson is a borderline top-ten fantasy option until David Johnson (wrist) returns, which won’t be a for a while. Daniel Brown catches one pass against the Saints.
Brown’s reception on his only lone target of the game went for nine yards. His role might increase after the terrible knee injury to teammate Zach Miller, but Brown isn’t a recommended fantasy option.

Julius Thomas gets three targets in Week 8.
Thomas gained only two yards on two receptions against the Ravens, and it appears he’s not really close to a full-time starter anymore. Thomas shouldn’t be on fantasy rosters right now.

Jonathan Stewart scores first rushing touchdown of the season in Week 8 win.
Stewart rushed 11 times for 34 yards in a 17-3 victory over the Bucs. Things were not looking good when Cameron Artis-Payne got a couple carries near the goal line, but he wasn’t able to convert, and Stewart did on the third attempt. Averaging just 2.99 yards per carry this season, the veteran back is on pace for 658 rushing yards and two touchdowns at the season’s midway point. Carolina needs to improve up front. They take on the Falcons in Week 9.

Leonard Fournette (ankle) is inactive against the Colts.
Despite not practicing, the expectation all week was that Fournette would play today, but things changed last night after multiple reports said the rookie running back was not expected to play. Chris Ivory will now step in as the starter and a very good fantasy option, as he should be in line for at least 20 touches against the Colts. It’d be a surprise if Fournette wasn’t ready in Week 9 after Jacksonville’s Week 8 bye.
10/22/17 - 11:15 AM ET
Drew Brees doesn’t throw a touchdown in Saints’ win.
The Saints had a bit of a relatively conservative approach against a Bears team that’s been playing excellent defense, as the Saints had more rushing attempts (30) than passing attempts (28). Brees played a very efficient game, though, going 23/28 for 299 yards, and he still did pick up some chunk yardage in the game—with four passes over 20 yards. Back in the dome for a matchup with a Bucs secondary that’s struggled for much of the season and is banged up, Brees should put together some scores in Week 9.
10/30/17 - 11:26 AM ET
Trevor Siemian, Broncos shutout for the first time since 1992.
Siemian was 25/35 for 207 yards and one interception. He also rushed twice for 14 yards and fumbled twice (lost one). Denver simply couldn’t block Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, as the duo combined for three sacks and were close on plenty of other occasions, so Siemian doesn’t deserve the blame that he will probably receive. The Broncos need to turn it around quick, though, as they face the Chiefs in Kansas City and the Eagles in Philadelphia before getting the Patriots back at home over the next three weeks. Siemian probably isn’t a good streaming option against the Chiefs next Monday night.
