Martavis Bryant is expected to have a bigger role in Pittsburgh’s offense today.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, there will be “no subbing out today” for the talented receiver. Amid rumors of a trade request (from a few weeks ago), Bryant has not had the season he would like so far—but he and the team seem to be handling things fine. Against a team that’s done a relatively good job on Antonio Brown recently, the Steelers could use Bryant stepping up against the Bengals. Bryant is now more squarely in the FLEX conversation, but his floor is still low.

Marquise Goodwin leads 49ers in receiving yards on Sunday.

Godoiwn caught four passes for 80 yards, including a long of 48 yards. C.J. Beathard seemed to have trust in the speedster, as he was able to come down with a contested catch over the middle for one of his receptions. Still, Pierre Garcon is the only receiver worth starting on San Francisco’s offense. Maybe Goodwin can get deep against Philly’s slow corners next Sunday.

Carlos Hyde totals 88 yards in blowout loss.

Hyde rushed 14 times for 68 yards and caught four passes for 20 yards. He operated as the clear lead back, while the 49ers still didn’t give Hyde enough touches, it’s good to see him involved as a pass-catcher again. He will be a high-end RB2 option against the Eagles in Philadelphia next Sunday.

Marcedes Lewis scores in Jags’ win.

Lewis caught two of three targets for 29 yards and a touchdown against the Colts. The touchdown, which was Lewis’ fourth of the season (he had three in one game against Baltimore), came on a very nice catch in the back of the end zone on a fade route where he used his huge 6’6″ frame to his advantage. Lewis has had more games without receptions (four) than with (three) this season, so he’s not an advisable fantasy option.

Jordan Matthews (thumb) is expected to play today.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Matthews will wear a special glove on his injured thumb hand. When the injury occurred on October 1 against the Falcons, Matthews was expected to miss four weeks. But it appears he’s ready to go today against the Buccaneers. Actives/inactives are out at 11:30 AM ET, and we’ll update you on his official status at that time.

Curtis Samuel totals 26 yards on three touches in Week 8 win.

Samuel rushed once for 11 yards and caught two passes for 15 yards. The rookie likely isn’t going to see enough volume in 2017 to have fantasy value at any point. He can stay on the waiver wire heading into a matchup with the Falcons.

Ezekiel Elliott’s suspension is on hold again.

The Cowboys running back has been granted another temporary restraining order, this time by New York Judge Paul Crotty, to put his six-game suspension back on hold. The ruling came down to “irreparable harm,” as the NFLPA argued Elliott cannot get the missed games back if he is suspended. This isn’t over yet, as a judge now needs to rule on the preliminary injunction he’s asking for, which would put the suspension on hold until the case is completely resolved—but this temporary restraining order is good until October 30 or when the judge rules on the case. The bottom line is Ezekiel Elliott will be out there against the 49ers this Sunday. The back and forth with Elliott’s fate up in the air can’t help him or his team, but he’ll still be an elite RB1 against San Francisco and needs to be in all fantasy lineups.
