Adrian Peterson | Free Agent RB

Rams shut down Adrian Peterson and the Cardinals in London.

Peterson gained only 21 yards on his 11 carries, while also adding a 12-yard reception. With Carson Palmer (broken arm) out for the foreseeable future if not the season, the Cardinals are going to hand Peterson the ball a lot moving forward—but he could be facing some stacked boxes, which will make things difficult. Still, Peterson has dealt with stacked boxes his whole career and will still be in the Hall of Fame one day. In a good matchup with the 49ers in Week 9 after the Cardinals’ bye, Peterson might be an RB1 option in that game.

Adam Thielen | Panthers WR

Adam Thielen gets 12 targets in Week 7.

Thielen was the clear lead guy again with Sefon Diggs (groin) out, but he didn’t have as big of a game as last week against Green Bay. He caught five passes for 41 yards in the difficult matchup with the Ravens. Diggs is questionable at best for a trip to London next week, but Thielen will be a very good option against the Browns either way.

Charcandrick West | Retired RB

Charcandrick West (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday night.

West is still in concussion protocol and just wasn’t able to get cleared in time to play tomorrow against Oakland. The recently signed C.J. Spiller will likely be active for the game, and Akeem Hunt could see some more work, but rookie Kareem Hunt will likely take most of West’s snaps and get a huge workload against the Raiders. Hopefully West is OK and out of protocol soon.

Jeremy Maclin | Retired WR

Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) is active for Week 8.

After missing two games in a row, the veteran receiver is back for a decimated receiving corps of the Ravens. There’s a chance Maclin gets upwards of ten targets in the game, and he’s immediately in the FLEX conversation with six teams on a bye. Maclin’s presence is a big boost for a Ravens offense that needs to get going to avoid dropping to 3-5 on the season.

10/26/17 - 06:57 PM ET

Drew Brees | Retired QB

Drew Brees throws two interceptions, but Saints still handle Packers in Week 7.

Brees was 27/38 for 331 yards, one touchdown, and two picks. He also scores on a quarterback sneak. The first interception came on an inaccurate pass over the middle to Brandon Coleman in the end zone, but the second was a really good play by cornerback Davon House. Still, New Orleans was able to play great defense and improve to 4-2. Back at home in Week 8, Brees is obviously an elite play against the Bears.

10/23/17 - 12:56 PM ET

Isaiah Crowell | Raiders RB

Isaiah Crowell does almost nothing on the ground in Week 7 loss.

Crowell rushed 17 times for 35 yards and no touchdowns. He was able to catches four passes for 36 yards, but overall, it was another poor performance. Duke Johnson was the better player again, but there’s no indication that the Browns won’t stick with Crowell as the lead back against Minnesota next Sunday in London. It’s safe to drop him anyway.

10/23/17 - 12:36 PM ET

Jared Cook | Free Agent TE

Jared Cook comes up clutch in Raiders’ win.

Cook caught six of seven targets for 107 yards against the Chiefs, including a catch with 18 seconds to go that was initially ruled a touchdown but set up the Raiders for the game-winner with no time left in the game. It was Cook’s first 100-yard game as a Raider, and he had another near-touchdown on a throw to the end zone on a corner route where it looked like he might have been interfered with. Cook is in the TE1/TE2 discussion next week when he faces a Bills team that’s tough against tight ends.
