Brandon Marshall | Free Agent WR

Brandon Marshall is undergoing season-ending ankle surgery.

His injury looked to be pretty serious yesterday, and obviously it is and he’ll miss the rest of the season. The veteran receiver made the announcement on his Instagram page that he will be getting surgery to end the 12th year of his career. Marshall does have another year on his contract, so he could be back with the Giants next season—and he did appear, from the outside, to be a good teammate in the midst of a terrible season for the team. As for this season, Sterling Shepard is locked in as the number one receiver for the Giants and is probably the best waiver-wire pickup this week.

Bobby Rainey | Ravens RB

Bobby Rainey returns kick for a touchdown in Week 6 loss.

In his first career game as a Raven, Rainey was able to take a 96-yarder for a score in the third quarter. It was an interesting play, as the five-foot-eight returner was flipped and landed on the ground before sprinting for the touchdown, but it was ruled that his own teammate caused him to go down. Offensively, Rainey didn’t record a carry, but he did catch two passes for 11 yards. He’s not a fantasy option.

Sam Bradford | Free Agent QB

Sam Bradford doesn’t finish game against the Bears.

Bradford made his return after missing three games with knee issues, but he very clearly was not close to 100%. During warmups, Bradford had a noticeable limp but gave it a go anyway, and he just obviously was never comfortable or able to contribute the way he normally does. From the start, Bradford wasn’t following through on his injured front leg and passes were sailing high. And things got worse the more he moved and the more he got hit. Overall, Bradford was 5/11 for 36 yards before getting pulled late in the second quarter. You have to feel just terrible for Bradford, who was finally looking to get in a rhythm and be healthy in his second season with the Vikings. It’s now a complete mystery when he will be healthy and when we will see him on the field again, putting a huge dent in Minnesota’s Super Bowl chances.

Kirk Cousins | Falcons QB

Kirk Cousins scores three times against the 49ers.

It was an interesting game against his former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and San Francisco, as many are speculating the two sides could be a match if Cousins hits the open market this offseason. Cousins was 25/37 for 330 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while adding four carries for 26 yards and one touchdown on the ground. The first touchdown was on an 11-yard slant to Josh Doctson, and the second score was on a swing pass to Samaje Perine out of the backfield. The rushing score came on a zone read but the goal line, something Cousins has become very good at. And the interception came on an overthrown deep ball that was intercepted by 49ers corner Rashard Robinson. Cousins faces the Eagles in Week 7 on Monday night and will be int he QB1 conversation.

Sam Bradford | Free Agent QB

Sam Bradford (knee) is active for the Vikings against the Bears.

After missing the last three games in which the Vikings went 1-2, Bradford is back under center for his team. He faces a Chicago defense that’s tougher than most people think and will have to knock off the rust, but Bradford’s presence is great for Minnesota and should give them a boost. The deadly-accurate quarterback should be a boost for the fantasy value of everyone in Minnesota’s offense. The Vikings are trying to get a win to remain a game behind the Packers ahead of their Week 6 matchup.

Julio Jones | Free Agent WR

Julio Jones catches six passes in Week 6.

Jones was extremely efficient in the game, as he was targeted seven times and caught over 85% of his targets. Julio gained 72 yards against the Dolphins, with a long of 18 yards. Getting Jones the ball more might be a point of emphasis this week, as there simply isn’t anyone that can cover him. He’s an elite WR1 against New England for Week 7.

10/16/17 - 11:20 AM ET

Derek Carr | Retired QB

The Raiders anticipate Derek Carr returning in Week 6.

This is what head coach Jack Del Rio said and we would expect he does play, considering Carr pushed to play in Week 5 and will certainly be pushing harder a week later. Carr seems like the type of person that will do whatever he can do get out there and help his team win. While E.J. Manuel is doing fine filling in for Carr, the 2-3 Raiders could really use their franchise quarterback under center—and he’d be a boost for Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and company.
