Antonio Gates | Retired TE

Antonio Gates gets three targets in Week 5.

Gates caught two passes for 23 yards in a win over the Giants. The future Hall of Fame tight end is still a contributor for his team, but he’s not a great fantasy option right now. He does have a great matchup against the Raiders in Week 6, though.

10/9/17 - 12:37 PM ET

Hunter Henry | Patriots TE

Hunter Henry scores in Week 5.

Henry had a very good game in a great matchup against the Giants, catching three of eight targets for 42 yards and a touchdown. The score was on a corner route where Henry got behind the defense and Philip Rivers put a beautiful lofted throw out there for Henry to go and get. The second-year player will be a solid option next week against an Oakland team that has struggled against tight ends this year.

10/9/17 - 12:36 PM ET

Keenan Allen | Bears WR

Keenan Allen gets 12 targets against the Giants.

Allen started the game slow, but he got going in the second half and ended up with four receptions for 67 yards in the difficult matchup. It would’ve been a bigger day, but Philip Rivers missed Allen in the end zone when he was wide open, and it also looked like he was open a couple other times in the red zone where Rivers was either pressured or didn’t look his way. It’s good to see Allen, who led the team in receiving, have a solid day in a tough matchup like this. He’s a WR1 next Sunday in an easier matchup versus Oakland.

10/9/17 - 12:33 PM ET

Eric Ebron | Free Agent TE

Eric Ebron held to one catch in loss.

It went for six yards. Ebron has been held in check every game expect for Week 2, and he looks like he can be dropped in most leagues. The former first-round pick just hasn’t put it together in the NFL.

10/9/17 - 12:29 PM ET

Austin Ekeler | Commanders RB

Austin Ekeler gets seven touches in Week 5.

Ekeler mixed in behind Melvin Gordon, carrying four times for no yards and adding three receptions (on six targets) for 28 yards. Ekeler looks to have a solid role on some passing situations, but he’s not a reliable fantasy option yet.

10/9/17 - 12:29 PM ET

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones caught two passes for 12 yards in Sunday’s loss.

Jones was the team’s third receiver with Kenny Golladay out again, but he couldn’t do much in the 27-24 loss. Whether or not Golladay returns in Week 6, Jones isn’t a recommended fantasy option

10/9/17 - 12:27 PM ET

Travis Benjamin | Free Agent WR

Travis Benjamin gets three touches in Week 5.

Benjamin carried once for 14 yards while adding two receptions for 18 yards. Benjamin could see a slight decrease in playing time with rookie receiver Mike Williams (back) due to make his debut in Week 6, but he’ll still be a deep threat for Philip Rivers and the Chargers.
