Danny Amendola | Retired WR

Danny Amendola catches all eight targets in win over the Bucs.

Amendola gained 77 yards on his eight receptions, working as a reliable targets underneath and over the middle for Tom Brady. It could’ve been a bigger night, but Amendola had three other catches called back by penalties—including a great one-handed catch that was called back by a questionable offensive pass interference call. Even with Gronk likely to return in Week 6, Amendola is obviously a solid option in PPR leagues in Week 6, and he’s a FLEX in standard leagues.

Brandin Cooks | Saints WR

Brandin Cooks leads Patriots in receiving in Week 5.

Cooks caught five of eight targets for 85 yards against the Buccaneers. His biggest two catches were on a comeback and on a 34-yard reception on a route across the field where Tom Brady lofted a perfect pass. Cooks did drop a pass over the middle when he appeared to maybe look up at the incoming defenders, but he otherwise played well. He’ll have some huge weeks and some very good weeks like this, but Chris Hogan—who has five touchdowns this season—might be the top fantasy option at receiver for New England.

10/6/17 - 12:01 AM ET

James White | Retired RB

James White gets nine touches in Patriots’ win.

White again worked as a consistent option out of the backfield for New England, catching seven of nine passes for 57 yards while adding two carries for three yards. White did have a drop on a play at the end of the game, but it wasn’t the easiest catch to make. In Week 6, White plays the Jets and will be an excellent PPR option, as he is every week.

10/5/17 - 11:58 PM ET

Mike Gillislee | Saints RB

Mike Gillislee gets 12 carries in Week 5 win.

Dion Lewis received seven carries in the game and led the team in rushing, but Gillislee still looked good on his carries, showing good vision with downhill running while picking up positive yardage on his touches. It wasn’t a huge night and there weren’t opportunities for goal line carries, but Gillislee has high scoring potential each week and is a good option in Week 6 against the Jets.

10/5/17 - 11:54 PM ET

Dion Lewis | Free Agent RB

Dion Lewis leads Patriots in rushing in Week 5.

Lewis carries seven times for 53 yards against the Buccaneers, including a long of 31 yards. Lewis also added two receptions (on two targets) for ten yards in the win. With Rex Burkhead (ribs) expected back for Week 6, Lewis’ role might be scaled back a bit, but he’ll still be a contributor to the Pats.

10/5/17 - 11:52 PM ET

Tom Brady | Retired QB

Tom Brady goes for over 300 yards as the Patriots defeat the Bucs.

Brady was 30/40 for 303 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and one fumble lost in the Thursday night victory. The touchdown came on a five-yarder on a curl route to Chris Hogan—who he connected with eight times in the game. And the interception came on the first drive for New England, where Brady appeared to have the ball slip out of his hands on a throw to an open Chris Hogan over the middle. Though he didn’t put up huge touchdown numbers or a superb fantasy scoring total against Tampa Bay, Brady looked a lot better than the stats indicated and he took a lot of hits in the game (including three sacks). Brady will be the top quarterback option in Week 6 against the Jets, and he should get All Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski back.

10/5/17 - 11:50 PM ET

Marquise Goodwin | Free Agent WR

Marquise Goodwin (concussion) remained limited in practice.

Though it’s a good sign he’s out there for some parts of practice, Goodwin needs to clear concussion protocol so he can play on Sunday. Hopefully he’s able to in the next couple of days.
