Kamar Aiken | Free Agent WR

Kamar Aiken catches one pass in Week 4.

Aiken was targeted five times, but he only had a four-yard reception against the Seahawks. He’s not a fantasy option right now.

Branden Oliver | Free Agent RB

Branden Oliver gets three touches in Week 4.

Oliver two carries for one yard and one reception for two yards. He’ll only be a recommended fantasy option if Melvin Gordon were to miss time.

Dalvin Cook | Free Agent RB

Dalvin Cook is officially out for the season with a torn ACL.

This was the fear yesterday after Cook’s non-contact injury, and Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer says it was confirmed this morning. You obviously have to feel bad for the player, who was having a great rookie season after being selected in the second round of the draft, but this is also a huge loss for the Vikings. At least Minnesota signed Latavius Murray to be their starter this offseason before having Cook drop to them in the second round, so Murray will likely be inserted into the lineup. As for Cook, he’ll have to rehab but should be 100% well ahead of next season, and he’ll certainly be selected in the first three rounds of fantasy drafts.

Larry Fitzgerald | Cardinals WR

No surprise: Larry Fitzgerald plays the hero in Week 4 win.

Fitzgerald was held in check for nearly 70 minutes of action as the game went into overtime, but the future Hall of Famer caught the game-winning score with a leaping grab in the end zone. He finished with four catches for 32 yards, including the 19-yard touchdown. Through four games, Fitzgerald is on pace for 104 catches, 1,104 yards, and eight touchdowns. He’s a WR1/WR2 for next week’s matchup with the Eagles.

J.D. McKissic | Free Agent RB

J.D. McKissic scores twice in season debut.

McKissic rushed four times for 38 yards and a touchdown, also adding a 27-yard touchdown reception. With C.J. Prosise out, McKissic got his chance in a change-of-pace/receiving role, and he definitely took advantage of it. Even with Chris Carson going down with a serious lower-leg injury, Seattle has a bunch of guys worthy of touches in the backfield. That makes it a frustrating situation, and it might be best to avoid it altogether.

10/2/17 - 03:32 PM ET

Melvin Gordon III | Free Agent RB

Melvin Gordon doesn’t do much in Week 4.

Gordon was obviously limited by his knee injury, as he had only ten carries for 22 yards and one reception for seven yards. He was on the sideline for a good amount of the game, and Austin Ekeler had a 35-yard touchdown while Gordon was on the sideline. The third-year back is on pace for 216 carries, 672 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns, 52 receptions, 388 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns. He should certainly improve on those numbers in a big way, though his knee is becoming a slight concern after he had micro fracture surgery in January.

10/2/17 - 02:38 PM ET

Mitchell Trubisky | Bills QB

Mitchell Trubisky will now be the starting quarterback for the Bears, according to ESPN.

Mike Glennon didn’t play terrible through four games and he didn’t have much help on the outside, but it was probably time to give the rookie a chance. The Bears were obviously in love with Trubisky, as they traded up from number three to number two in the draft to ensure his selection, and the former North Carolina gunslinger went on to have an awesome preseason that generated a lot of hope in Chicago. Now, he’ll make his first NFL start on Monday night at home against the Vikings with the benefit of the mini bye week after the team played last Thursday. We do not recommend playing him against the Vikings, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Trubisky become an OK fantasy option this season.
