Carlos Hyde | Free Agent RB

49ers running back Carlos Hyde (hip) will be limited in practice all week.

Hyde missed a little time in last Thursday’s game against the Rams, and 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that his running back will be limited in practice this week. Expect him to be listed as questionable when the injury report comes out on Friday, but he should be ready to go against the Cardinals.

Randall Cobb | Free Agent WR

Randall Cobb (wrist) was a full participant in practice today.

After being a limited participant yesterday, it looks like Cobb is on track to return this Thursday after missing Sunday’s game against the Bengals. The official injury report for the game will be released tomorrow, but expect Cobb to be back out there for Week 4.

Terrance Williams | Cowboys WR

Terrance Williams catches three passes in Week 3.

He again battled through his ankle injury and played well, gaining 47 yards on his three receptions. Williams is obviously contributing to the Cowboys, but there are better FLEX options out there for you fantasy lineup.

Sammy Watkins | Free Agent WR

Sammy Watkins held to one catch in Week 4 win.

It went for 17 yards, and it didn’t come until the fourth quarter. Watkins was only targeted twice, which was surprising against the Cowboys’ banged-up cornerback group, but they played a lot of coverage over-the-top, allowing an opportunistic Jared Goff to use Todd Gurley and Cooper Kupp underneath and across the middle. Watkins has an insanely difficult schedule coming up, but he’s shown the elite ability to beat even the best of corners. He’s more of a low-end WR2/FLEX until things get easier, though, while still carrying enormous weekly upside.

10/2/17 - 01:38 PM ET

Mike Tolbert | Bills RB

Mike Tolbert rushed eight times for 31 yards in Sunday’s win over the Falcons.

Tolbert has now handled eight-plus carries in three of four games to start the season, but the running game is seeing stacked boxes with the lack of weapons outside for Buffalo. The Bills will have another ball-control attack next week against Cincinnati. Tolbert can stay on the waiver wire.

10/2/17 - 11:43 AM ET

Dion Lewis | Free Agent RB

Dion Lewis scores first touchdown of 2017.

Lewis received four carries for 18 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers while also adding nine-yard reception on his only target. The score was an eight-yarder where he showed his great burst and ran to the end zone. Rex Burkhead (ribs) might be back this Thursday, but Lewis will still have a role for the Patriots—though it probably won’t be reliable enough for him to be a fantasy option.

10/2/17 - 09:56 AM ET

J.J. Nelson | Free Agent WR

J.J. Nelson did not catch a pass against the Cowboys.

Nelson was targeted on a couple of deep balls by Carson Palmer, but they couldn’t connect. On one in particular, Nelson would’ve had a sure touchdown if he received a better throw, but Palmer was being pressured on the play and couldn’t really step into it. Nelson will play the 49ers on Sunday for Week 4.
