Join now >Eric Ebron plays well in Week 2.
The Lions got off to a fast start against the Giants, catching five early passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. Ebron didn’t do anything in the second half receiving-wise, but it was definitely a good game for him overall. He’s on the TE1 radar this Sunday against Atlanta.

Terrelle Pryor struggles again in Week 2 win.
After leaving production on the field against Philly in the season opener, Pryor could only catch two passes for 31 yards against the Rams, as Trumaine Johnson shut him down as we expected (he had just eight yards until Johnson was injured). Widely pegged as a fantasy breakout, there’s still time to turn things around, but there’s just as good of a chance that Josh Doctson knocks Pryor out of two-WR sets. Oakland doesn’t have a great secondary, but Sean Smith has the size to give Pryor fits next Sunday night. We’d try to trade him if someone in your league still values him as a high-end WR2, or even as a low-end WR2/FLEX.

Theo Riddick gets 12 touches in Week 2.
Riddick carried nine times for 20 yards and added three receptions for 17 yards against the Giants. He didn’t pop on the stat sheet, but Riddick flashes a couple nice runs late in the game and spun through a few tackles to pick up positive yards. Riddick will be in the FLEX conversation for PPR leagues next week versus the Falcons.

Thomas Rawls starts but doesn’t do much in first game of the season.
Rawls started the Week 2 game against the Seahawks but only received five carries for four yards while rookie Chris Carson had 21 total touches in the game. Rawls has obviously shown elite ability when healthy and this was his first game back, so he shouldn’t be discounted yet. But Carson looks like he might be the guy in Seattle’s backfield right now. Rawls is still worth a bench hold given his upside.

Lions commit to the run in Week 2 win over the Giants.
Detroit showed a great commitment to the running game, and it paid off against a tough defense. Ameer Abdullah worked as the clear lead runner again, carrying 17 times for 86 yards with a long of 34 yards. He showed great vision and acceleration throughout the game and was 14 yards away from being the Lions’ first 100-yard rusher since 2013. If healthy, Abdullah will get there this season at least once. He did leave the game towards the end after it appeared he tweaked his foot, but he appeared to be fine (and it was not the foot he injured last season). Abdullah is a good option next week against Atlanta.

Rookie Chris Carson works as clear lead back for the Seahawks.
With Eddie Lacy a healthy scratch for the game and Thomas Rawls playing his first game of the year, the seventh-round rookie received 21 touches and totaled 100 yards against the Niners. Thomas Rawls started the game, but Carson received almost all of the work, gaining 93 yards on 20 carries and seven yards on his one reception. It was Rawls’ first game back from an ankle injury and he’ll likely have a role, but Carson has impressed all preseason and through two weeks of the regular season. He might be the guy for the Seahawks this season. Carson is a FLEX option next week against Tennessee.

Matthew Stafford plays well and leads the Lions to 2-0 start.
Stafford had a a difficult matchup in New Jersey against the Giants, but he had a very good game, going 15/21 for 122 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing three times for 23 yards. Jon Gruden raved about Stafford during the broadcast, and rightfully so. His touchdown tosses were to Marvin Jones on a 27-yarder and to Eric Ebron on a play-action pass to the flat by the goal line. Stafford and the Lions will likely need to score some points in Week 3 against the Falcons to improve to 3-0.
