Join now >Devontae Booker (wrist) is out for Week 2.
Booker was a limited participant in practice all week, but this was the expectation. It’ll be mostly C.J. Anderson and Jamaal Charles on Sunday against the Cowboys. The hope is that Booker is ready to go for Week 3 against the Bills.

Phillip Doresett (knee) is questionable to return for the Patriots in Week 2.
Dorsett left the game in the fourth quarter and there’s not much time left, so his day might be done. Hopefully he’s OK, especially with New England getting very thin at receiver (they had three active for today’s game). Dorsett was a nice target for Tom Brady today, catching three passes for 68 yards including a long of 38 yards that he was tackled inside the five-yard line on.

John Brown (quad) is out for Week 2.
It’s really a shame that Brown can’t stay healthy. He has to deal with complications from his sickle cell trait, which has led him to get injured more and take longer to heal. With Brown out for Week 2, both Jaron Brown and J.J. Nelson become intriguing sleeper options this week against a Colts secondary that’s without top cornerback Vontae Davis and was just lit up by the Rams last Sunday. Hopefully John Brown can heal up and be good to go for Week 3.

Rex Burkhead (ribs) leaves Week 2 game.
Burkhead, who scored a 19-yard touchdown on a pass from Tom Brady earlier, is questionable to return to the game. The Patriots typically don’t reveal much about their injuries, so we’ll see if they give info on Burkhead in the coming days if necessary.

LeSean McCoy is not listed on the Bills injury report for Week 2.
McCoy took a rest day today at practice because of a sore groin, but McCoy isn’t going to miss the game. Perhaps he’d be listed as probable if the NFL still had that designation, but McCoy will be out there on Sunday against the Panthers and will get a heavy workload.

UPDATE: It’s a groin injury for Rob Gronkowski.
Gronk is questionable to return, but don’t expect him to be back in New England’s blowout. Gronkowski had six receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown so far in the game. The TD came on a 53-yarder where Gronk turned his route up the field and Tom Brady dropped one right in for him to take up the field, break a tackle, and score. Gronk looked like his usual self before leaving the game, and he’ll obviously be the overall TE1 in Week 3 against the Texans.

Bill Lazor will be the new offensive coordinator for the Bengals.
Lazor takes over for the fired Ken Zampese. He has a lot of experience in the up-tempo offense, as he was Chip Kelly’s first NFL quarterbacks coach in 2013 before becoming the Dolphins offensive coordinator from 2014-2015—so he does have experience running an NFL offense. Look for a lot of inside zone runs in the new offense, but the Dolphins also passed a lot with Lazor as the OC. It’ll be interesting to watch the Bengals’ first game with Lazor calling the plays. They play Green Bay in Week 3 in two Sundays.
