Rob Gronkowski | Retired TE

Rob Gronkowski leaves Patriots game.

Gronk went down after a reception of about 20 yards and looked to maybe be slightly dazed or limping—it’s unclear what the injury is. He’s currently out of the game and being check out by the training staff, so hopefully he’s OK. With New England up 20 points near the end of the third quarter, Gronk might be done for the day either way.

Sam Bradford | Free Agent QB

Sam Bradford (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Week 2.

The Vikings quarterback was only a limited participant in practice this week, but head coach Mike Zimmer says he thinks Bradford will be able to play against the Steelers. There is definitely some concern about the issue, as ESPN’s Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter reported Bradford had an MRI on the knee this week; there’s especially concern because the offensive line of the Vikings, despite their great play in Week 1, could be shaky. Hopefully the o-line is able to keep Bradford upright and not allow the Steelers to get many hits on him. More than last season, Minnesota moved the pocket for Bradford off play-action, so they might scale that back a bit this Sunday with Bradford’s knee issue.

Cam Newton | Free Agent QB

Cam Newton is warming up on the sidelines.

Newton was down on the field and limped off the field earlier, but he looks fine. He’ll be back in the  game for the Panthers’ next series.

Andy Dalton | Panthers QB

The Bengals are expected to fire offensive coordinator Ken Zampese, according to Ian Rapoport.

Through two home games to open the season, the Bengals have not scored a touchdown and have struggled to do anything offensively. Because things could not get much worse, perhaps a change of a play-caller will get things going for the Bengals. However, Zampese is a highly regarded coach—he shouldn’t have much trouble getting another job for next season. Quarterback Andy Dalton, who has not played well through two games, could be the next person to lose his job if the Bengals decide to give A.J. McCarron a chance at quarterback. The Bengals will likely get to more of a run-heavy approach moving forward, and they might decide to feed talented rookie Joe Mixon the ball. A.J. Green should also see an uptick in production after he voiced a bit of displeasure after last night’s loss.

Cam Newton | Free Agent QB

Cam Newton limps off in Week 2 against the Bills.

Newton was sacked and laid on the field for a bit before eventually limping off. It didn’t look like a serious injury, but perhaps it’s worse than it looks. We’ll see if he’s in there for the next series.

Danny Amendola | Retired WR

Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) misses practice again on Friday.

Boston Herald reporter Jeff Howe notes that it’s been at least nine years since a Patriot has played after missing a full week of practice, so Amendola almost certainly isn’t going to play on Sunday. Chris Hogan gets a huge boost and should be treated as a high-upside WR2, and James White and Rex Burkhead should also be moved up the rankings. Hopefully Amendola is OK for Week 3 against the Texans.

DeShone Kizer | Free Agent QB

DeShone Kizer (migraine) was cleared to return in Week 2.

Kevin Hogan started the second half and is moving the ball well against Baltimore, but Kizer is back in the game for Cleveland.
