Trevor Siemian | Free Agent QB

Trevor Siemian plays well in Broncos’ Week 1 win.

Siemian was 17/28 for 219 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while adding six carries for 19 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Siemian kept the chains moving for the Broncos and made crisp, accurate throws throughout the night. Both his touchdowns came in the red zone to Bennie Fowler—another positive sign that he performed well in the scoring zone. The interception came on a screen pass where the ball was tipped and kicked up in the air before getting intercepted. Siemian plays the Cowboys in Week 2, and he could start looking like a good fantasy option very soon if he keeps progressing as he gets more playing time.

Travis Benjamin | Free Agent WR

Travis Benjamin gets behind the defense in Week 1 loss.

Benjamin caught three passes for 43 yards, including a clutch 38-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to bring the Chargers within three. Unfortunately, they missed a potential game-tying field goal with just seconds left on the clock. They’ll try to bounce back in Week 2 against the Cowboys, and Benjamin will try to get behind the defense again.

Michael Thomas | Free Agent WR

Vikings hold Michael Thomas to under 50 yards in Week 1.

The second-year receiver had five receptions for 45 yards against Xavier Rhodes and the Vikings, as the entire Saints offense struggled to get anything going in the game. Thomas doesn’t get a much easier matchup against the Patriots next week, as New England has Malcolm Butler and Stephon Gilmore at corner and might try to take Thomas out of the game. He’s still a WR1 option in your fantasy lineup.

Tyrell Williams | Free Agent WR

Tyrell Williams leads the Chargers in receiving on Monday night.

Williams did well in a tough spot, catching five-of-seven targets for 54 yards. His targets were second on the team to Keenan Allen’s 10. Williams deserves a bench spot in standard leagues. He gets the Cowboys next.

9/12/17 - 01:58 AM ET

Tommylee Lewis | Panthers WR

Tommylee Lewis catches 52-yard pass in Week 1.

The young receiver had two receptions, gaining zero yards on his other catch. The 52-yarder was a on a perfect go-route throw by Drew Brees, and it would’ve been a touchdown if Trae Waynes didn’t make a nice play to trip up Lewis after he caught it. Tommylee also was targeted on a shot to the end zone by Brees, but it was just slightly out of his reach. Lewis isn’t a starting fantasy option right now, but he’s someone to keep an eye on.

9/11/17 - 11:30 PM ET

Bennie Fowler | 49ers WR

Bennie Fowler scores twice in season opener.

Fowler operated as the third receiver for Denver and was key in the red zone, converting two close touchdowns. He finished with three catches for 21 yards and the scores. Fowler had two touchdowns all of last season and can stay on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.

9/12/17 - 01:56 AM ET

Ted Ginn Jr. | Retired WR

Tedd Ginn Jr. gets five touches in Week 1.

Ginn had four receptions for 53 yards, as well as a five-yard carry against the Vikings. He worked as a clear top-two receiver along with Michael Thomas in the game, and he’ll be that against the Patriots in Week 2.
