Head coach John Fox said he isn’t sure yet if White will need surgery, which would probably end his season. There’s a chance White’s season is done either way, but it’s a possibility he comes back this year from it. It’s just very unfortunate for both the Bears and White—but especially White, who has only played in a handful of games since being draft in the top ten in 2015.

Brandon Marshall has quiet debut with the Giants.
Marshall was held without a catch until the final moments of the game when Eli Manning threw meaningless short passes. It went for 10 yards and was just seconds after the NBC broadcast talked about how he’s had a catch in every game since 2006 (his rookie year). On a night where the offense struggled to do anything at all, it was surprising that they didn’t give Marshall a chance to make a play on a deep ball. The veteran receiver will probably request more touches heading into Monday night’s game against Detroit.

Sterling Shepard catches seven passes in Week 1.
Shepard was targeted eight times but only gained 44 yards on his seven receptions. It was good if you play in PPR leagues. He did also fumble but was able to recover it. The second-year receiver is just a bench option for now, but he could develop into more this year.

Evan Engram caught four passes for 44 yards in his NFL debut.
Considering the overall struggles of the Giants offense in a 19-3 loss to the Cowboys, it wasn’t a bad showing. Engram might actually be better once Odell Beckham Jr. returns to hopefully open things up for him. The Giants have a lot of things to figure out offensively heading into Monday night’s matchup with Detroit.

Brice Butler makes diving catch in Week 1.
The big Cowboys receiver had a great catch early in the game where he laid out for a 30-yard deep ball from Dak Prescott. It was his only reception of the game (on three targets) but it showed Butler’s potential. Still, he’s not a fantasy option at the moment.

Shane Vereen leads the team in catches on Sunday night.
Vereen caught nine passes for 51 yards, but didn’t receive a carry in the 19-3 loss. New York’s offense looked as bad as it ever has since Ben McAdoo took over as head coach, but PPR owners who played Vereen should be happy about the late-game check downs by Eli Manning. The receiving back will be a decent FLEX option in PPR leagues for Week 2 against Detroit.

Cole Beasley makes outstanding catch in Cowboys’ Week 1 win.
The slot receiver caught three-of-five targets for 32 yards but might have made the highlight of the game when he caught a pass down the sideline by using his back. Beasley juggled the ball then pinned it around the nameplate of his jersey. It was an entertaining play in a game the Cowboys dominated against the Giants. Beasley is in the PPR FLEX mix for Week 2 against the Broncos.
