Join now >Report: David Johnson has a sprained wrist, based on early diagnosis.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the star running back will get more tests but the early diagnosis is good. Any breaks would likely miss Johnson to force a chunk of time, but if it’s just a sprain he could be ready for next week. We’ll know more in the next day or two about the exact severity of Johnson’s injury. But as long as he doesn’t have severe ligament damage, a sprain would be good news.

Cordarrelle Patterson gets two touches in Week 1.
Patterson had one carry for five yards and one reception (on one target) for two yards. He only had two touches, but the Raiders will get Patterson involved in his first season with the team. Patterson also had a 41-yard kick return that was huge for the Raiders in a close game. He’ll be a difference-maker for the Raiders this season, but his fantasy production isn’t reliable enough for him to be in your lineup.

Ezekiel Elliott’s six-game suspension has been upheld, according to Chris Mortensen.
This isn’t a surprise and was pretty much expected. Now, the NFLPA and the NFL will engage in a battle in court, which could last quite a while. The suspension was upheld, but Elliott is able to play in Week 1 against the Giants. If Elliott is granted a temporary restraining order, he would be allowed to continue playing until the situation is fully settled in court. This probably is not close to over, which is less than ideal for fantasy owners. Despite the decision by Henderson, there’s still a chance Elliott plays the entire year.

Jermaine Gresham caught three passes for 15 yards in the Cardinals’ season opener.
Gresham is a low-upside option that can remain on the waiver wire, even next week against a bad Colts defense.

The Bears reportedly fear Kevin White broke his collarbone.
White was seen with a sling after the game, and ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports White would need season-ending surgery if the fear is confirmed. This would be the third season in as many years that White, the eight-overall selection in the 2015 draft, is unable to play at least five games in a season. It’s just terrible luck, and everyone should really feel for the guy. Kendall Wright should soak up a lot of targets in Chicago’s offense, while Markus Wheaton should have a prominent role on the outside when he returns from his broken finger.

Seth Roberts scored in Week 1.
Roberts always seems to make big plays for the Raiders, and he did in Tennessee versus the Titans. He caught his only target of the day for a 19-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of Oakland’s 26-16 victory. Roberts will be more of a contributor for the Raiders than he will for your fantasy team.

Ezekiel Elliott is eligible to play in Week 1, according to Mike Fisher of CowboysHQ.com.
Fisher, who appears to be very pro-Cowboys and Zeke, cites a source inside the court room where the NFL lawyers and the NFLPA lawyers (with Elliott) currently are. According to the report, federal judge Amos Mazzant asked the NFL lawyers to answer whether Elliott is eligible to play in Week 1 amid Harold Henderson not yet making a ruling on his six-game suspension, and the NFL lawyers were “hesitant” but said Elliott would be able to play. Some more confirmation should come at some point after the court session is over, but it sounds like the Cowboys will have one of their best players to open the season against the division rival Giants.
