Quarterback Derek Carr and Cook appear to have a solid connection, and it looks like the athletic tight end is going to be used a good amount this season. He had 56 yards on his five receptions against the Titans. We’ll see how he fares in Week 2 against the Jets, but Cook is worth a look on the waiver wire.

Amari Cooper draws 13 targets in Week 1.
He only caught five of the targets, but this is exactly what fantasy players want to see in Cooper’s third season—a ton of targets. Cooper had five receptions for 62 receptions and a touchdown against the Titans, with the TD coming on a nine-yarder where Cooper broke a couple tackles and was pushed forward into the end zone by his teammates. In his third season, there’s superstar potential for the former Alabama receiver. He gets the Jets next Sunday.

Thomas Rawls is listed as the Seahawks’ starter on their Week 1 depth chart.
Rawls is still battling an ankle issue, but he’ll start Sunday’s opener against the Packers if he’s good to go. Eddie Lacy is listed as the number two back, with C.J. Prosise listed as third, and Chris Carson listed as four. Prosise will handle most of the passing down work, Lacy could take short yardage situations, and Carson can’t be counted out either. Rawls probably offers the most upside because he just turned 24 and has shown he can be an elite RB1 in fantasy leagues.

Andre Ellington caught two passes for 35 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Lions.
Despite David Johnson leaving the game with a wrist injury, Ellington didn’t receive a carry. We think the Cardinals should give Ellington a good look as the primary running back if David Johnson misses an extended period of time (which it unfortunately looks like might happen), but they seem hesitant to do that. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Cardinals sign veteran Chris Johnson or maybe even Ryan Mathews, but Ellington might be worth a waiver claim until the situation sorts itself out.

Bruce Ellington (concussion) leaves Week 1 game against the Jaguars.
Ellington didn’t have any receptions before leaving the game, and Houston struggled to get anything going offensively against a stingy Jaguars defense. There’s a quick turnaround for the Texans as they play the Bengals on Thursday night, so Ellington might not be ready for Week 2.
9/10/17 - 04:14 PM ET
Michael Crabtree leads Oakland in receiving in Week 1.
The veteran receiver caught six-of-seven targets for 83 yards versus the Titans. Crabtree showed his reliability as a good target for Derek Carr, as well as his ability after the catch. Based off Week 1, Crabtree looks primed for another solid season with the Raiders even if Amari Cooper has a huge breakout year.

The Jets are signing receiver Jeremy Kerley, according to Adam Schefter.
After spending a season with the 49ers, Kerley returns to the team he played five seasons with to open his career. The Jets have worked to improve their receiving group, and they now add Kerley in to the mix. He might end up as a starter in the slot along with Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse this season. He’s probably only worth a look in PPR leagues.
