Join now >Jamison Crowder (hip) is active today against the Eagles.
This was the expectation, but now it’s official. Kirk Cousins will have perhaps his most trusted receiver outside of Jordan Reed, which is good for his outlook against Philadelphia. As for Crowder, he should be a high floor option and should be in most fantasy lineups despite totaling under 100 yards in two games against the Eagles last season.

Breshad Perriman catches one pass in Week 1.
Perriman tied the team-high with four targets but only had one reception for five yards. The good news is he’s healthy and should have much better weeks ahead. He gets Cleveland next Sunday.

The Redskins signed RB Chris Thompson to a two-year contract extension.
The 26-year-old running back had his best season in 2016, and he’s a clear favorite of head coach Jay Gruden and the team. After Thompson caught 49 passes last season, the team rewarded him and is looking for more. With the departures of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson, Kirk Cousins might rely on Thompson more this season as a trusted receiver out of the backfield. He’s worth rostering in PPR leagues and should have some good weeks in 2017.

Isaiah Crowell struggles in season opener.
Crowell rushed 17 times for just 33 yards, but he did match his rushing output with 33 yards on two receptions. Teams are going to make rookie DeShone Kizer try to beat them by stacking the box against the run, and that’s bad news for Crowell. He isn’t a good fantasy option next week against Baltimore’s elite defense.

T.J. Yeldon (hamstring) is out today against the Texans.
Yeldon was able to be limited participant on Thursday and Friday, but the team isn’t going to put him out there at less than 100%. Chris Ivory and Leonard Fournette will carry the load in a difficult matchup versus Houston. Yeldon should be at 100% for next Sunday against the Titans, but check back throughout the week to see his practice status.
9/10/17 - 11:35 AM ET
Mike Wallace gets one target in Week 1.
Wallace caught the lone target for eight yards. The Ravens threw the ball only 17 times, so there’s nothing to be too alarmed about. Jeremy Maclin (two receptions, 56 yards, TD) is likely going to be Joe Flacco’s number one target this season, though. Wallace should put up bigger numbers against the Browns next week. He scored two touchdowns against them last season.

Deadline for Ezekiel Elliott to play on Sunday does not exist.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and ESPN’s Adam Schefter both reported within seconds that the supposed 4:00 PM ET deadline today for the NFL to rule on the Elliott suspension or else he’s eligible to play in Week 1 is not a thing; apparently, the NFL can rule at any time before the game and Elliott could still be suspended for Week 1. Obviously, this is less than ideal for the Cowboys, who have a right to be angry if no decision is made soon (i.e. today), with a big game to play on Sunday versus the Giants. Because it appears unlikely Harold Henderson overturns Elliott’s suspension completely, it’s going to come down to whether or not the courts grant Elliott a stay so he can play while his suspension is battled over in court between the NFL and the NFLPA.
