Join now >DeShone Kizer was 20/30 for 222 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in his NFL debut.
The rookie also rushed five times for 17 yards and a touchdown as the Browns fell to the Steelers 21-18. Kizer scored on a quarterback sneak in the second quarter and connected with Corey Coleman for a three-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to bring the game within three, but the result never seemed in question for Pittsburgh. Kizer’s interception was a questionable throw right to the defender, and he held the ball too long at times, absorbing seven sacks. Still, his ability as a rusher could put him in streaming consideration—but that won’t be the case next week on the road against the Ravens.

The Seahawks might hold out Thomas Rawls (ankle).
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the team might opt to hold out Rawls—who practiced fully all week—to allow his ankle to get to 100%. For fantasy owners, Rawls and the Seahawks don’t play until the late afternoon games, so you’re probably better off getting someone with an early game in your lineup unless you have guys in late games to insert. Rawls probably won’t be a good option even if he does play, given his uncertain workload after missing the end of the preseason.

Eli Rogers has quiet Week 1.
Rogers was held to two catches for 11 yards, as Antonio Brown did most of the damage for Pittsburgh with 182 yards on 11 receptions. With Minnesota next on the schedule, Rogers isn’t a preferred fantasy option.

The Chiefs signed Akeem Hunt to their practice squad.
Not to be confused with the team’s starter, rookie Kareem Hunt, Akeem was waived by the Texans a couple days ago. Akeem Hunt would likely be promoted to the active roster in the event of an injury to Kareem Hunt, Charcandrick West, or C.J. Spiller.

Jeremy Maclin scores in his first game with the Ravens.
The former Eagles and Chiefs receiver had two receptions for 56 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown reception on a slant route where there was an apparent breakdown in coverage and Maclin basically walked into the end zone from 48 yards. Maclin tied a team-high with four targets—a great number, considering Baltimore threw only 17 times in their dominant shutout victory. Maclin has a good matchup against Cleveland in Week 2 and will be a good FLEX option in that game.

Odell Beckham Jr. has a high-ankle sprain, according to Ian Rapoport.
This explains why it seems to be leaning towards Beckham not playing tonight against the Cowboys. High-ankle sprains typically take at least a few weeks to heal, and today is 20 days since Beckham suffered the injury in the Giants’ third preseason game. The thought was it might have been just a normal ankle sprain, but a high-ankle sprain could mean it’s unlikely OBJ plays tonight. If coming back too early from a high-ankle sprain, it usually will cause the injury to linger for longer—getting to 100% should be the goal.

Martavis Bryant caught two passes for 14 yards in season opener.
It was a quiet day for Bryant, as Big Ben found Antonio Brown 11 times for 182 yards against the Browns. Things won’t get easier for Bryant next week versus the Vikings, but he’s got as much upside as anyone. Perhaps shutdown corner Xavier Rhodes will shadow Brown.
