Join now >Thomas Rawls will not play in Seattle’s third preseason game.
Rawls is still dealing with an ankle injury, so he won’t play tomorrow night against Kansas City. Perhaps he would’ve been good to play if the game wasn’t on a Friday, and head coach Pete Carroll said Rawls is “close,” but it’s still slightly concerning after Rawls missed last week’s preseason game too. Given Rawls’ injury history, it would be ideal to see him healthy before drafting him; however, he’s still one of the best picks outside the top 100 in fantasy drafts.

Latavius Murray is set to play in third preseason game.
The Vikings play on Sunday night to cap off Week 3 of the preseason and their free agent acquisition is expected to be out there. Head coach Mike Zimmer says they’ll just get Murray “in and get him a taste and see how it goes.” Rookie Dalvin Cook has separated himself as the lead guy in Minnesota’s backfield while Murray was recovering from offseason ankle surgery, but there’s definitely a chance Murray carves out a nice role—potentially as a goal line back. Murray is an all-around player that can pass protect, excel as a receiver, and run well both inside and outside. We’ll see what happens when he’s out there against the 49ers.

Cooper Kupp won’t play in the Rams’ third preseason game.
Kupp is dealing with a slight hamstring tweak. Rams head coach Sean McVay says Kupp “had a little tweak and we’re going to be smart.” The rookie receiver is going to be a big part of the offense this season, so they aren’t going to force things by putting him out there in Saturday night’s exhibition against the Chargers. Kupp’s preseason could be done, considering most starters don’t play in the final preseason game. Don’t sleep on Kupp late in your fantasy draft—especially in PPR leagues.

LeSean McCoy says the Bills told him they are not trading him.
This isn’t a surprise. Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed as much earlier today when he gave a flat “no” to a question about McCoy possibly being traded. When Buffalo traded receiver Sammy Watkins, some thought McCoy might be the next player on the way out, but McCoy isn’t going anywhere unless the Bills get an offer that’s too good to pass up. He’ll be the centerpiece of Buffalo’s offense with a chance to lead the league in touches in 2017.

The Cowboys announced Ezekiel Elliott will likely play in the team’s third preseason game.
Dallas plays Oakland on Saturday and Zeke will be probably out there for the first time this preseason. Elliott is scheduled to miss the first six games of the season due to his suspension, so look for him to try and deliver defenders some punishment to hold him over until October. Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris will certainly get their snaps with the first team in Saturday’s exhibition as the Cowboys prepare for the regular season.

Jordan Matthews is “making progress” in his return from injury.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott is encouraged by his new receiver as he returns from a chip fracture in his sternum. Matthews has been doing limited work in practice, and McDermott says Matthews “consistently stays after practice to get reps with the QBs.” He’s always been a hard worker, but Matthews might be even more motivated after getting traded by the Eagles. If he gains the trust and chemistry of Tyrod Taylor, there’s some upside there for Matthews as a potential number one receiver.

Lance Dunbar is expected to start the regular season on the PUP list.
The Rams free agent acquisition has a knee injury and has not been able to get healthy. Head coach Sean McVay expects his receiving back to be on the PUP, which will force him to miss the first six weeks of the season. This means Todd Gurley will be a three-down back, and it gives Gurley a boost in PPR leagues. Gurley is a fine second-round pick in fantasy drafts as someone that offers elite upside.
