Christian McCaffrey dominates in second preseason game.

The dynamic running back out of Stanford had three carries for 33 yards—including a 17-yard touchdown—and two receptions for 39 yards. On the touchdown, McCaffrey burst through the line of scrimmage then zoomed by the defense and to the end zone. On his long reception of 38 yards, McCaffrey again showed the same speed and acceleration. It’s clear McCaffrey is just different and a special player. His 2017 fantasy upside will be determined by how many touches he gets.

Robert Turbin carries five times for six yards in preseason opener.

He and the Colts couldn’t find much room to run against the Lions. Turbin is expected to get more work behind the 34-year-old Frank Gore this season, which could mean some standalone fantasy value for him—he did score seven touchdowns on the ground last season for the Colts.

Derrick Henry gets 19 touches in preseason game against the Panthers.

The Titans second-year back had 16 carries for 36 yards and two touchdowns, along with three receptions for 17 yards. Henry played the first half, starting the game with Marcus Mariota and continuing to play with the first-team line when Mariota exited the game after two series. Henry’s first touchdown came on an outside run where he zoomed up the left sideline for 17 yards. The second touchdown came on a goal line carry. His yards per carry wasn’t great, but he played a lot better than that stat showed. Henry and the Titans play the Bears in their third preseason game next Sunday.

Kamar Aiken starts preseason opener for the Colts.

Donte Moncrief (shoulder) did not play in the game, so Aiken started next to T.Y. Hilton. He was targeted three times and had no catches. Even though he started, Chester Rogers might be ahead of him as the favorite for the third receiver behind Hilton and Moncrief.

Marcus Mariota plays sharp two series in preseason game against the Panthers.

The Titans offense led by Mariota drove down the field on the opening drive, but ended up settling for a field goal. Then the Titans got the ball inside the Panthers’ 20 on a fumble by Devin Funchess, and Mariota capped his day with a four-yard touchdown to Delanie Walker on a corner route. The third-year quarterback’s passes were on point and he kept a zone read for a nine-yard gain. Mariota is without question one of the best mid-late round quarterback targets in fantasy drafts.

Chester Rogers catches one pass for four yards in preseason Week 1.

He was targeted three times. Kamar Aiken worked as the number two receiver opposite T.Y. Hilton with Donte Moncrief out, but Rogers still might be the favorite for the number three. We’ll know more when Moncrief (shoulder) gets back on the field.

DeMarco Murray is not playing in the Titans’ preseason game today.

Murray (hamstring) resumed practicing this week, but the Titans are opting to sit him. Derrick Henry will take almost all the work with the starters, and Murray is likely to play in the Titan’s third preseason game on Thursday.
