Jaguars WR Marqise Lee says he expects to be ready for Week 1.
Lee suffered a high ankle sprain last Sunday (six days ago) and is already out of his walking boot and walking without a limp, according to John Oehser of the team’s official site. The smart thing to do is not rush Lee back and make sure he’s 100% recovered from his injury so it doesn’t linger all season. Given his injury, there are probably better options late in fantasy drafts than Lee.

Troymaine Pope scores for Colts in Week 1 of the preseason.
The second-year back had seven carries for 31 yards and a touchdown, along with a 25-yard reception. The touchdown came at the goal line within the final seconds of the game. Pope is trying to make the Colts as a fourth running back.

Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette says he will be ready for Week 1.
Fournette is dealing with a foot issue that he says is unrelated to the ankle issues he had last season at LSU. The talented back said the foot is “nothing to worry about.” The Jaguars are taking it slow with Fournette and he might not play for the rest of the preseason, but there’s not much question he’ll be good to go for the regular season. Fournette could be an immediate workhorse for the Jaguars and is currently being drafted in the late-second or early-third round of fantasy drafts.

Lions rookie Dontez Ford catches touchdown in first NFL preseason game.
Ford had two receptions for 22 yards and a 15-yard touchdown where he got through three defenders and showed extraordinary effort, diving for the end zone. The undrafted rookie from Pitt is trying to crack the final roster for the Lions.

Jermaine Kearse catches one pass in Week 2 of the preseason.
The catch was a nice one he snatched over the middle for 20 yards. Kearse could be falling behind in the Seahawks receiving group. It’s unlikely he delivers any consistent fantasy value in 2017.

Marvin Jones Jr. doesn’t catch a pass in preseason opener.
Jones was targeted once by Matthew Stafford in the only drive they played, but the pass was intercepted. Colts shutdown corner Vontae Davis was covering Jones tightly on the slant route that deflected off Jones’ hands, but it would have been a tough catch. Rookie Kenny Golladay looks to be coming for everyone’s job, but Jones should be safe as one of the top two receivers in Detroit this season.
