Winston was 21/29 for 196, no touchdowns, and no interceptions in the win. The Bucs attacked Jacksonville’s secondary, which was without Jalen Ramsey or A.J. Bouye, but we will probably see an unhappy Dirk Koetter on this week’s ‘Hard Knocks’ because while Winston displayed good accuracy and kept his eyes downfield to make plays, he also had a classic Jameis mistake when he tossed a pass into the end zone to avoid a sack and it was intercepted by Barry Church. Fortunately, he was ruled down, but it is a reminder that frustrating plays like that are holding Winston back from being an elite quarterback and his team back from being a contender. Tampa Bay plays Cleveland in the regular season dress rehearsal next Saturday.

Senorise Perry scores Dolphins’ only touchdown in Week 2 of the preseason.
Perry had six carries for 25 yards and a touchdown in Miami’s loss to Baltimore. He did also lose a fumble, though. Perry is competing for a roster spot, but he’s unlikely to have much fantasy value in 2017.

Jeremy Maclin catches one pass for five yards in Week 2 preseason debut.
It was Maclin’s first game with the Ravens, as most of the starters sat out Baltimore’s Week 1 preseason game. Maclin was targeted only once by Ryan Mallett. Perhaps more than anyone in the Ravens offense, Maclin would benefit by starting quarterback Joe Flacco being healthy and on the field as someone that would rely on the veteran receiver to come up with tough catches—something Mallett might not do.

Cordarrelle Patterson starts first preseason game for the Raiders.
Many of Oakland’s starters didn’t play in the game, but Patterson got the start. On the first play of the game, Patterson beat All-Pro Patrick Peterson on a slant route for a five-yard gain. Though it was only a short gain in a preseason game, it was a nice route by Patterson, who is criticized by some as a guy that can’t run good routes. The dynamic receiver/returner had two receptions for 22 yards total in the game. He’ll be used on offense for the Raiders, but will probably be hard to trust in fantasy.

John Crockett scores in Week 1 of the preseason for the Raiders.
The third-year undrafted back out of North Dakota State had a touchdown at the goal line while adding a 29-yard reception on one target. Crockett is trying to make the roster as a fourth running back for the Raiders

Travis Kelce might practice this week.
Kelce has missed several practices with knee swelling, but head coach Andy Reid said of Kelce, safety Eric Berry, and defensive tackle Bennie Logan: “They are close. (They will) potentially get some work this next week, we’ll just see how it goes. They’ve got a big rehab session (Saturday), so we’ll see.” We’ll find out more next week, but the Chiefs probably are not going to rush Kelce back and would prefer his knee swelling to become a non-issue.

Brandon Lafell catches one pass in preseason opener.
His reception went for 13 yards. There are some good young players in the Bengals receiving group, but Lafell is locked in as the number two opposite A.J. Green. He should deliver some solid fantasy weeks in 2017.
