Johnson is not making the trip to Indianapolis for tomorrow’s game, so the Texans are ruling him out before takeoff. David Johnson will carry the load in the Houston backfield tomorrow.

The Saints are placing Michael Thomas (ankle) on injured reserve.
Thomas was surprisingly ruled out for this week when the injury report was released yesterday, and now New Orleans is shutting him down until the playoffs. The regular season for Thomas ends with 40 receptions, 438 yards, and zero touchdowns in seven games, so he has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments in 2020. Emmanuel Sanders and Tre’Quan Smith will step into the starting lineup the rest of the way and are upside FLEX options.

Daniel Jones (ankle/hamstring) is not expected to start tomorrow night.
The Giants have wanted to make a decision on their starting quarterback for tomorrow against the Browns by today, and it appears they have made it, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter reporting that Colt McCoy is expected to start. This isn’t a surprise after Jones wasn’t himself last week. Ultimately, the Giants probably feel it’s smarter to play McCoy than Jones at clearly less than 100% while hoping Jones can get closer to full strength for a potential playoff berth.

Damien Harris (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 15.
While Harris was added to the injury report on Thursday, this is a bit of a surprise, as he had been limited in practice all year and has continued to play despite questionable tags. However, New England is ruling him out ahead of their trip to Miami for tomorrow’s game. Sony Michel is set to be the leading ball-carrier for the Patriots and is immediately a solid fantasy option in an offense that’s going to want to run the ball often instead of testing an elite Dolphins secondary.

Brandon Allen (knee) will not play in Week 15.
Ryan Finley will get the start for Cincinnati, but he’s obviously in a difficult spot versus the Steelers on Monday night. Pittsburgh dominated the first matchup, so none of the skill-position players of the Bengals will be highly recommended this week.
12/19/20 - 11:55 AM ET
Matthew Stafford (ribs) is “preparing to play” tomorrow, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Stafford didn’t practice through the week, but the Lions starter is still looking to play tomorrow against the Titans. Stafford owns one of the longest consecutive start streaks in NFL history, so it’s not surprising that he’s likely to push through this rib injury. His presence will be a boost for the entire Detroit offense.

Washington has promoted Taylor Heinicke to the active roster.
Heinicke will back up Dwayne Haskins tomorrow with Alex Smith (calf) out. Washington hopes to have their veteran signal-caller back under center in Week 16 as they try to keep their NFC East lead.
