Reich was asked his impressions of Agholor in the slot (where he played with the first team as Jordan Matthews dealt with knee tendinitis), and the OC said Agholor played well both in the slot and outside. Reich added that what everyone has been saying (there have been many positive reports about Agholor looking good) throughout the offseason is true. The 2015 first round pick battled a high ankle sprain as a rookie, then struggled with confidence last season, but there’s no question he has a ton of ability. It’d be a surprise if he isn’t one of the Eagles’ top three receivers this season. Going undrafted in fantasy leagues, Agholor could be a very deep sleeper in 2017.

The Bears are trying to elevate Kevin White’s confidence.
The team’s receivers coach Zach Azzanni is helping instill confidence in the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. After White missed his entire rookie season and almost all of last season dealing with leg injuries, Azzanni said they need to get him to “block out the noise” and “tell him how great he is.” According to the Chicago Tribune, Azzanni has been showing White game film from his dominant breakout 2014 season with West Virginia, which led him to being a top-ten pick in the draft. If White regains the confidence he clearly had in his final season of college, he could be a breakout player this year.

Ty Montgomery is up to 222.8 pounds.
It’s the heaviest Montgomery has been throughout his career, but he remained lean while getting arms, chest, and shoulders bigger, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. The Packers running back, who was supposed to stay under 215 as a receiver, said he wasn’t worried about his weight and instead wanted to see what his body would “naturally” do. Montgomery worked out with Rischad Whitfield, A.K.A. “The Footwork King”, this offseason. Whitfield is known for working with Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, Melvin Gordon, and many other NFL players. It’s been all positive for Ty Montgomery this offseason, and he offers a lot of upside as a mid-round pick playing the Packers offense.

Adam Gase says the Dolphins are getting many opinions on Ryan Tannehill’s knee.
Gase spoke after practice today and said the team is going “deeper” than second and third opinions on the situation. The Dolphins head coach added they are talking to a lot of people and “making sure we’re getting all the right information and then we’ll make a decision after that.” Any decision on Tannehill probably won’t be for a few days as the team and quarterback gather opinions to determine the best course of action.

Multiple reports: The Ravens are signing running back Bobby Rainey.
This move corresponds with Kenneth Dixon getting meniscus surgery that will end up keeping him out for the season. He’ll have to battle Buck Allen and Lorenzo Taliaferro for a roster spot behind Terrance West and Danny Woodhead, who are both very likely to make the team. Rainey is a shorter back with good receiving ability (he had 20 receptions last season with the Giants), but he can also run between the tackles.

Kelvin Benjamin reported to training camp at 243 pounds.
According to Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer, Benjamin was “about 270” in April. 270 is obviously not ideal, but Benjamin did say he was in a “dark place” after the passing of his mother. The good news is the receiver is closer to his playing weight, and training camp should help get him in better shape for the season. Benjamin probably doesn’t carry a lot of yardage upside, but he definitely has double-digit touchdown potential this year.

All five of Theo Riddick’s reception touchdowns last season were in the red-zone.
Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com believes Riddick is one of the best red-zone weapons in the NFL because of his receiving ability out of the backfield. He can make linebackers look really bad in coverage because he is such a good route runner. The Lions decided against re-sining Anquan Boldin, who had eight touchdowns last season, so Matthew Stafford could be looking Riddick’s way more often this season, given Riddicks’ effectiveness in that area. A healthy Ameer Abdullah is the starter and could also get a lot of red-zone work, but Riddick should be a very good PPR option in 2017.
