Join now >Mike Reiss believes Dion Lewis is a lock for the Patriots roster.
Some have speculated that Lewis might not make the final roster because of the Pats' depth at running back, but Reiss believes he will and notes that the team is 17-0 with Lewis in the lineup. While, as Reiss states, Lewis isn't the only reason the team is undefeated with him in the lineup, he's still a good and impactful player for New England. James White is very likely to be the main passing back for the Patriots, but Lewis will probably be used a good amount too. With so many players that can contribute in New England's current running back group anything can happen, but we anticipate the team keeping Lewis on the roster. It's not out of the question for the Patriots to have upwards of five running backs make the final roster (guys like Brandon Bolden are great contributors on special teams, with the ability to chip in on offense).

T.J. Jones worked with the Lions first team offense throughout the offseason.
Golden Tate and Marvin Jones are locked in as the top two receivers, but with Anquan Boldin gone, there is an opportunity for T.J. Jones to be the third receiver. Big and talented rookie Kenny Golladay and others will also be competing for that spot, but Jones has a veteran advantage as he enters his fourth year in the league. Jones only has 15 career receptions, but averages 15.0 yards per reception. Still, he might struggle making a fantasy impact behind at least Golden Tate and Marvin Jones for targets.

Emmanuel Sanders cut fast food out of his diet, according to 9News.
Sanders has cut out fast food after relying on it as a go-to when he was hungry. Mike Klis writes that Sanders "said he feels better now as he’s 30 years old… than he did coming out of SMU as a rookie in 2010." Top-level athletes can get away with eating fast food and still be productive, but cutting it out will help them achieve higher levels of performance. This has to be seen as a great sign for Sanders, who is looking for his fourth straight 1,000-yard season in 2017. Sanders' average draft position is currently in the seventh round, which is likely around where he'll be late this summer when most people draft.

Colts.com's Kevin Bowen thinks Frank Gore could see a couple less carries per game this season.
Gore has had 260 and 263 carries over the last two seasons, and has been a very solid fantasy option in those two years. Now at 34-years-old and with Robert Turbin and rookie Marlon Mack in the mix, Bowen says "it would not surprise" if Gore saw a couple less carries per game this season to keep him fresher late in the season (and potentially the playoffs). There's no doubt Gore will be Indy's lead back, which could be a valuable position. Goal line carries will be a big determining factor in Gore's upside, but he should be a lock for at least 200-220+ carries this season. He's currently being drafted outside the top 25 running backs.

Niners GM John Lynch is impressed with rookie tight end George Kittle.
Kittle was a fifth round pick out of Iowa and is 6'4", 247 pounds, with very good athleticism (he ran a 4.52 40-yard dash with a 35" vertical and an 11-foot broad jump). Lynch was on KNBR radio and said Kittle is someone that "really flashed" and "exceeded expectations" during offseason training. "George gives us something we don’t have as a playmaker down in the red zone. He is that guy who can win 1-on-1. He can impose his will and out-athlete people," Lynch said during the interview, according to Joe Fann of 49ers.com. Despite just receiving a contract extension at the end of last season, incumbent starting tight end Vance McDonald is no lock to start for the Niners this season. Kittle is someone to keep an eye on, especially in dynasty leagues.

Lions tight end Eric Ebron says he is "overly excited" about the way he will be used this season.
Ebron was on SiriusXM NFL Radio said it's going to be "fun" for him to play in his expected role in 2017. The 24-year-old said earlier this offseason that he's happy with the additions the team made at tight end to help free things up for him, and he seems genuinely excited for the year. He's a former top ten pick with a lot of talent, and it sounds like he thinks he'll have his biggest role yet this season. Ebron is a borderline TE1 with good upside late in fantasy drafts.

Panthers HC Ron Rivera indicates change in the team's offense this season.
Rivera was on SiriusXM NFL Radio and said the Panthers need to be "judicious" about how much they run Cam Newton, adding "the best thing" is to get the ball out quickly. The Panthers head coach talked of the teams additions—particularly Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel, the team's first two picks in the 2017 draft—and Newton getting the ball to the people around him. Newton himself talked recently of wanting to trust his teammates more and allow them to be playmakers for him. While Cam still has big touchdown potential on the ground, he had his worst season running the ball last year, which is something that may be more in line with his production from now on. However, if he improves his passing Newton can still be a top-level QB1.
