Join now >Panthers rookie running back Christian McCaffrey is practicing with the team today.
Because of Stanford's quarters system for the school schedule, McCaffrey hasn't been allowed to practice during OTAs or minicamp until now. The team will certainly have some fun incorporating him into the offense. The dynamic running back should have a sizable role (in the passing game at the very least) as a rookie.

Raiders OC Todd Downing said they're "going to have fun" getting Cordarrelle Patterson involved in offense.
Patterson is an electric former first round pick that wasn't used much on offense until last season, when he proved to be a reliable target for Sam Bradford. The Raiders have made it clear this offseason that they're going to use him on offense. Patterson will also remain the primary kick returner for his new team. He is likley to be the number three receiver behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree, and he could be a boom/bust FLEX option this season.

Rookie Chris Godwin continues to impress the Buccaneers.
Head coach Dirk Koetter compared the rookie receiver to Roddy White, one of the all-time great Falcons. Koetter coached White as the offensive coordinator for three seasons in Atlanta; and he did admit that it's "way, way, way too early" to make the comparison, but that Godwin does remind him as White. It's still offseason training and Godwin hasn't played in any NFL games yet, but the positive reviews are awesome and indicate that he probably shouldn't have lasted until the third round of the draft.

Frank Gore hasn't been participating in Colts minicamp.
It's unclear why exactly Gore isn't participating, but it could just be him getting rest because of his age. His starting quarterback and the top receiver aren't participating either, so other guys are having the opportunity to get more reps. Gore might take it easy at times during it, but he'll be good to go for training camp.

The Colts "love" running back Robert Turbin.
Earlier this offseason, the team said they want to get Turbin more touches this season. The 34-year-old Frank Gore hasn't been participating in minicamp, so Turbin has gotten a lot of reps with the first team. Turbin is a huge back with ability, and he might be able to get upwards of 7-10 carries per game this season.

Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley hasn’t practiced during OTAs or minicamp.
Beasley is dealing with hamstring issues, and the team is having him rest as a precaution. What’s concerning is that these issues have been going on since Week 10 of last season. However, Beasley said he’s not concerned because he already played through it towards the end of last season and in the playoff game. He did look normal throughout those games, so that’s the bright side. Beasley should be ready to man the slot for the Cowboys this season.

Chuck Pagano is happy with receiver Chester Rogers.
Rogers is an undrafted rookie from last season that started getting some good playing time at the end of last season. Now Rogers is looking to carve out a solid role with in his second season with the team. Pagano said Rogers isn't thinking as much this year and is playing "a lot faster." Quarterback Andrew Luck, who is recovering from shoulder surgery but still observing, also said that Rogers has progressed from last season. Rogers is competing with Phillip Dorsett and Kamar Aiken for the main third receiver behind T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief.
