The Lions signed Jordan Ta’amu to the practice squad.

With Matthew Stafford (ribs) banged up and uncertain for this Sunday, Ta’amu will provide more quarterback depth for the Lions. If Stafford is out for Week 15, Ta’amu would almost certainly be called up to the active roster.

The Texans claimed Dontrell Hilliard.

Hilliard could slide in behind David Johnson and Duke Johnson in the Houston backfield, but it’s unlikely he sees enough touches to make a fantasy impact over the final three weeks.

The Bills have designated John Brown (ankle) to return from IR.

It sounds like Buffalo is hoping to have Brown back for Saturday, and he is certainly worth picking up for those seeking upside in Week 15, as Denver is completely decimated at cornerback. If he doesn’t return on Saturday, we would bet Brown will be back for Week 16.

Henry Ruggs III has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Ruggs III will be out on Thursday night, which is a big loss for the Las Vegas offense as they hope to get back on track in the playoff race. Fellow rookie Bryan Edwards could see more snaps alongside starters Nelson Agholor and Hunter Renfrow.

Trace McSorley (knee) has been placed on injured reserve.

Fortunately, it was recently reported that McSorley isn’t dealing with a serious tear, but the injury is still significant enough to knock him out for the remainder of the regular season. For now, Tyler Huntley will be the likely No. 2 quarterback behind Lamar Jackson.

Dez Bryant has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

As many know, Bryant took to Twitter when he was pulled before taking on the Cowboys for a positive test, so it’s good to hear that he’s back. Dez should immediately see snaps this week against the Jaguars, but he’s not a recommended fantasy play on a run-first offense.

Christian McCaffrey (quad) is not expected to play in Week 15.

Head coach Matt Rhule doesn’t expect him to return on Saturday night versus Green Bay, so fantasy owners will be without their RB1 for at least another week. Knowing how competitive McCaffrey is, we would guess he’s going to fight against a possible shutdown, but there seems to be a realistic shot of that happening with the Panthers out of playoff contention. Mike Davis will draw another start this week in a good matchup.
