Join now >The Panthers are signing Tommy Stevens to the practice squad.
Stevens was originally a target for Carolina earlier this year as an undrafted free agent before the division rival Saints moved back into the draft to select him, but the rookie will now end up with the Panthers. If Teddy Bridgewater (knee) is unable to go in Week 11, we could potentially see Stevens get promoted to the active roster this week and even have a package of plays at quarterback behind Phillip Walker.

Drew Lock (ribs) is uncertain for Week 11.
The Broncos are likely determining the extent of Lock’s injury, but the issue occurred yesterday against the Raiders. Lock and the Denver offense struggled in their Week 10 loss, so perhaps the injury had something to do with it. We’ll track Lock’s practice status throughout the week, though a clear timeline may be available before Wednesday and the start of the practice week.

Drew Brees has multiple fractured ribs and a collapsed lung, according to ESPN.
The extent of Brees’ injuries obviously explains why Brees essentially pulled himself from Sunday’s win by telling Sean Payton he couldn’t function anymore, and the veteran may now be facing a lengthy absence. The Saints will likely turn to Jameis Winston as the starter, and it would be a surprise if he didn’t at least finish out the month for matchups against the Falcons and Broncos. ESPN’s Ed Werder says that it’s “uncertain” how much time Brees might miss as New Orleans hopes to stay atop the NFC South and fight for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Sam Darnold (shoulder) will not play in Week 11.
Joe Flacco will draw another start, and he might be worth considering as a streamer against the Chargers with the underrated receiving corps all healthy coming out of the bye. In his last start, Flacco was excellent on Monday Night Football with 262 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in a near win over the Patriots. New York is still looking for their first win of the year.

The Dolphins have waived Jordan Howard.
Howard has mostly been a healthy scratch after starting the year as the short-yardage back, and he will surely be happy to get a chance to contribute elsewhere. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone places a claim on the veteran, but heading back to one of his former teams (Chicago or Philadelphia) would seem like a good fit. Howard just turned 26 earlier this month.

Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) is unlikely to play in Week 11.
There was reportedly hope that it would be just a one-game absence for McCaffrey, but it looks like that will not be the case. We’ll let you know if McCaffrey happens to get on the practice field this week, but you probably can’t count on having him in your Week 11 fantasy lineup.

The Saints are “bracing” for Drew Brees (ribs) to miss time, according to NFL Network.
Brees suffered a rib contusion yesterday and will have tests to determine the severity of the injury, but he has also reportedly dealt with an injury to his throwing shoulder, and New Orleans might sit him in order to heal for the stretch run. Assuming the veteran is out next week, Jameis Winston would be the expected starter with Taysom Hill also potentially getting more snaps; if so, Jameis would be an immediate QB1 streamer, but the matchup against Atlanta in Week 11 could be tougher than it looks on paper.
