Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 11.

McCaffrey already being ruled out doesn’t bode well for his Week 12 status, and he could end up being held out through the team’s Week 13 bye. Fantasy owners looking ahead to the fantasy playoffs should look into what it would take to acquire McCaffrey, though it will be interesting to see how his status/workload might be handled if the Panthers are completely out of contention. Mike Davis will continue starting for Carolina and will be an RB1/RB2 option.

Matthew Stafford dealing with partial tear in thumb ligament.

While the injury is to Stafford’s right throwing hand, the veteran quarterback is fully expected to play through it this Sunday versus the Panthers. Stafford might ultimately get a questionable tag on the final Week 11 injury report, but it would be a surprise if he doesn’t play this weekend.

Teddy Bridgewater (knee) will practice this week.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Bridgewater is expected to be limited when the practice week starts tomorrow. We expect Bridgewater will be fine for Sunday against the Lions, but we’ll let you know if he’s listed on the final Week 11 injury report on Friday.

The Texans waived DeAndre Carter.

Carter is a solid special-teams contributor that might quickly draw interest elsewhere, but he might land back with Houston on the practice squad if he goes unclaimed.

Drew Lock (ribs) is week-to-week.

Lock reportedly has severe muscle strains around his ribs despite no broken bones, and he is likely to miss Week 11. The second-year quarterback has been beat up pretty good over the past couple of games, so hopefully he can get healthy and show some more promise down the stretch. Brett Rypien will probably be under center this weekend against Miami.

Allen Lazard has been activated from injured reserve.

Lazard missed all of October and most of November, but he’s set to return one week before Thanksgiving. Marquez Valdes-Scantling has performed well as of late, but Lazard will give the Green Bay receiving group a boost and is worth considering on the waiver wire where available.e

The Ravens signed Luke Willson to the practice squad.

With Nick Boyle (knee) done for the year, Willson will provide some potential depth for Baltimore down the stretch. For now, he’ll be on the practice squad and will have to learn the Ravens offense.
