Carlos Hyde (shoulder) is officially inactive for Sunday night.

This is Hyde’s second consecutive missed game with his shoulder issue, and he should be considered week-to-week.

Dak Prescott suffers apparent severe lower-leg injury.

All injuries are unfortunate, but this is really one you do not want to look at the replay of if you haven’t seen it yet. Prescott is being carted off the field, and his day is certainly done—and it looks like he will be out for an extended period of time with this injury. Before leaving, Prescott was 14/21 for 166 yards and one interception along with two carries for seven yards; he also caught an 11-yard touchdown pass in the first half. We wish Dak, who is in a contract year and was looking to get a huge long-term contract after the season, a speedy recovery.

The 49ers are benching Jimmy Garoppolo to start the second half.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan says the team is benching Garoppolo down 30-7 “to protect him.” Remember, Garoppolo is coming off a high-ankle sprain, and Shanahan has previously said that there is no chance he would lose his starting job. However, Shanahan doesn’t want Jimmy G to continue getting beat up by the Miami defense, and perhaps C.J. Beathard can give the offense a spark off the bench like he did last Sunday night.

Michael Thomas ruled out for Week 5 with “not injury related” designation.

Thomas is reportedly being ruled out because of team discipline, so this is pretty interesting. Perhaps Thomas had an argument with the team because he wants to play while the team doctors might not be letting him; but regardless, he won’t be active tomorrow night versus the Chargers.

Diontae Johnson (back) has been ruled out for the rest of today.

Johnson has basically been out all game, and the Steelers have now ruled him out in the fourth quarter. Johnson did not have any catches before leaving, and hopefully this isn’t a long-term injury.

Michael Thomas (ankle) will not play tomorrow night, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Thomas was limited in practice all week, so this is not surprising. The Saints are taking a very cautious approach with their star receiver, keeping in mind the season is a long one with championship aspirations. New Orleans has a bye next week, so we expect Thomas might be ready to go coming off the bye in Week 7.

A.J. Green (hamstring) is officially doubtful to return for the Bengals.

Green did not have any receptions before leaving today’s game, and this has been a very disappointing early-season stretch for the Pro Bowl receiver. Green has missed a ton of time with injuries in recent years.
