Jared Cook | Free Agent TE

Jared Cook (groin) is officially active for Monday night.

Cook was limited in practice all week, but he’s giving it a go against the Chargers. Cook is a TE1 option for Week 5.

Mike Williams | Chargers WR

Mike Williams (hamstring) is officially active for Week 5.

Williams is ready to go tonight versus the Saints despite his hamstring issue. Consider the big-play receiver in the FLEX mix in a potential shootout.

Dalvin Cook | Free Agent RB

Dalvin Cook’s groin injury is considered minor.

A source told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero that Cook is “good” after tweaking his groin last night. Things looked a lot worse when Cook sustained the injury, so it was great to see him re-enter the game last night (even for just one play), and it’s also great to hear this isn’t a long-term thing. Because the Vikings have their bye week looming after Week 6, the team may ultimately opt to hold Cook out against the winless Falcons this Sunday and ensure he’s ready for a division matchup at Lambeau Field to begin November.

Sammy Watkins | Free Agent WR

Sammy Watkins expected to miss time with his hamstring injury.

This was pretty obvious after Watkins pulled up during yesterday’s loss to the Raiders, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter is now saying Watkins is expected to miss “possibly a couple of weeks” with the hamstring injury. Consider the explosive receiver week-to-week for now, with Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson potentially set for larger roles during his absence.

Kyle Allen | Free Agent QB

Kyle Allen is expected to start in Week 6.

It sounds like Allen is just sore from yesterday, but he’s expected to be fine moving forward. Alex Smith will return to the backup role for now, but it won’t be surprising if he makes starts this season as he continues on his amazing comeback.

Dalvin Cook | Free Agent RB

Dalvin Cook (groin) has returned for the Vikings.

Cook went to the locker room, and it looked like his night was over; but he just jogged back out to the sideline and stretched out a little bit before entering the game. This is great to see, and Cook will be out there battling with his teammates at less than 100% as they try to get a win and avoid falling to 1-4.

Dalvin Cook | Free Agent RB

Dalvin Cook leaves game with apparent lower body injury.

Cook made a catch early in the third quarter, and he immediately appeared to grab at his groin (or possibly hamstring) area and hopped over to the sideline. The dynamic running back is headed straight for the locker room, and this is obviously a huge blow to a Minnesota offense built around him. Hopefully this isn’t quite as bad as it looks, but this could be something that forces Cook to miss more time than the rest of tonight. Before leaving, Cook had 17 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown along with five receptions for 24 yards.
