Le'Veon Bell | Free Agent RB

The Jets are placing Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) on IR.

Bell will now miss the next three games for New York, which mean fantasy owners will have to look elsewhere until the second week of October. Frank Gore is worth picking up in all leagues, but the upside is somewhat limited, and the matchup isn’t going to be easy in Week 2 versus the 49ers. Those stuck with Bell but looking to move on might be wise to hold him for now and see if someone wants him when he nears a return.

Phillip Lindsay | Colts RB

Phillip Lindsay (foot) has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Whatever the extent of the injury, it’s enough to knock Lindsay out for the rest of the night, so there is obviously concern about a prolonged absence being a foot issue. Before leaving, Lindsay rushed seven times for 24 yards and caught one pass. The young Denver offense will face a tough Pittsburgh defense in Week 2.

Phillip Lindsay | Colts RB

Phillip Lindsay is questionable to return with a foot injury.

Lindsay didn’t come out for the second half in Denver, and fantasy owners can only hope that it’s minor. If it ends up being a long-term issue, Royce Freeman would fill in as a change-of-pace option behind Melvin Gordon.

9/15/20 - 12:20 AM ET

James Conner | Cardinals RB

James Conner (ankle) is questionable to return for the Steelers.

It’s unclear when Conner injured his ankle, but he hasn’t played in the second half and has been roaming the sideline without his helmet, so it looks like his night is done unless he’s needed as an emergency option. This is really unfortunate for Conner, who is in a contract year and has simply had trouble staying healthy; but the injury doesn’t appear to be anything too serious, so hopefully he doesn’t miss any more time after tonight. Before leaving, Conner had six carries for nine yards and two receptions for eight yards. Benny Snell is  the next man up as a potential bellcow for Pittsburgh.

9/14/20 - 09:30 PM ET

K.J. Hamler | Bills WR

K.J. Hamler (hamstring) is officially inactive for Week 1.

This was expected after Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said he thought it might be tough for Kamler to play tonight against the Titans. The NFL debut for the explosive rookie receiver from Penn State will come in Week 2 at the earliest.

9/14/20 - 08:53 PM ET

Courtland Sutton | Broncos WR

Courtland Sutton (shoulder) is officially inactive for Week 1.

Sutton apparently couldn’t do the ten jumping jacks as a test for his range of motion, but the big receiver is reportedly not far off from getting on the field. He could be trending toward a game-time call for Week 2 again, though. Rookie first-round pick Jerry Jeudy might immediately be the top target for Drew Lock tonight against the Titans.

9/14/20 - 08:51 PM ET

George Kittle | 49ers TE

George Kittle is dealing with a knee sprain.

So it’s more than just a hyperextension suffered in yesterday’s season opener against the Cardinals, which Kittle toughed out after missing a short period of time in the game. Kittle has played through injuries in the past, and the Niners will see how he looks in practice throughout the week leading up to Week 2 against the Jets.
