Join now >Mike Evans is dealing with a soft-tissue injury.
Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians says Evans is day-to-day. This obviously isn’t a great sign as Week 1 approaches, and there’s a real chance Evans may miss the season opener. It sounds like he won’t practice until Friday at the earliest, and we’ll update you with his official designation when the final Week 1 injury report is released.

The Eagles have signed Richard Rodgers.
Rodgers is back in Philadelphia and will settle in as depth behind Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. The veteran isn’t currently on the fantasy radar.

The Browns are signing Kareem Hunt to a two-year extension.
This is a bit of a surprise and a head-scratcher, as Cleveland has stud running back Nick Chubb already in the mix, and you’d think Hunt would want to go to a team where he might be a clear starter and potential workhorse. However, the former league-leading rusher obviously feels comfortable with the Browns, and Cleveland is likely going to run the ball a ton with the duo of Chubb and Hunt. The extension is somewhat of a concern for those with Chubb on their fantasy teams, but there might be enough carries to go around for Chubb to continue pushing for rushing titles.

DeAndre Hopkins is getting a two-year extension.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hopkins extension is worth $54.5 million over the additional two years added on to his current three year deal. The new money makes Hopkins the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history on a per-year basis for the extension, but it’s tacked on to the three years remaining on his deal and is an $18.8 million per-year average total. Rapoport also says that Hopkins got a no-trade clause and a no-franchise-tag clause in his deal, as he wants to remain in Arizona long-term. The Cardinals are going to expect a lot of production out of the All-Pro receiver over the next handful of years.

The Jaguars promoted Mike Glennon to the active roster.
Despite not initially being kept on the 53-man roster, Glennon might slide into the backup quarterback spot for Week 1. From a fantasy perspective, Glennon is off the radar.

Alvin Kamara and the Saints are “extremely close” to an extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This could really just be throwing a report out there by using common sense that a deal should get done before the season, as Schefter says it’s hoping to be finalized in the next few days. Still, fantasy owners that have taken Kamara early in drafts should feel good about their selection, and he likely warrants top-five status for those yet to hold their drafts.

The Cardinals are signing DeAndre Hopkins to a new contract, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Hopkins wanted a new contract despite three years remaining on his current deal, and the Cardinals have decided to give it to their big offseason addition. Obviously, Arizona is expecting big things from the All-Pro wideout in 2020 and beyond.
