Join now >The Panthers are re-signing Colin Thompson.
Thompson has bounced around since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2017, but he is now hoping to stick through the season in Carolina. It’s worth noting that the 26-year-old was coached by Matt Rhule at Temple.

Ryan Fitzpatrick will officially start for the Dolphins in Week 1.
This was obviously fully expected, but Dolphins head coach Brian Flores just made it official. Rookie Tua Tagovailoa, who is healthy, will begin the season as the backup while Fitzpatrick leads a Chan Gailey offense that he’s familiar with. From a fantasy perspective, Fitzpatrick certainly won’t hesitate to give his big weapons like DeVante Parker, Preston Williams, and Mike Gesicki opportunities to make plays on the outside.

The Rams are signing Raymond Calais to the active roster.
Calais signed to Tampa Bay’s practice squad earlier today after he didn’t make the team’s 53-man roster, but the Rams must have really liked his ability to quickly sign him to their own roster after presumably missing out on getting him on the practice squad. Calais has explosive ability and might ultimately help the Rams on special teams in Year 1.

The Jaguars are signing Mike Glennon to the practice squad.
Jacksonville went with a younger duo on the 53-man roster yesterday, but Glennon rejoins the organization as a third quarterback and a veteran option that can be called up if necessary during this COVID-impacted season.

The Eagles placed Quez Watkins on injured reserve.
Philadelphia kept seven receivers on their active roster, so this’ll cut that number down. Because of special rules this season due to COVID-19, teams can take players off injured reserve after three weeks. Overall, Watkins is off the redraft radar to open the season.

The Bills have signed Andre Roberts.
Buffalo’s primary returner was expected to be back after yesterday’s cuts, and it’s now official. Roberts will be a better real-life contributor than fantasy option.

The 49ers have released J.J. Nelson with an injury settlement.
This move was expected, and the deep threat will now be free to sign elsewhere. San Francisco is hoping to have Deebo Samuel (foot) and rookie Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) healthy for the opener next week.
