Join now >The Eagles claimed Jason Huntley.
Huntley is a rookie fifth-round pick that the Lions waived yesterday, so Philadelphia probably liked the New Mexico State product as a draft prospect entering this year’s draft. Huntley could be an interesting player to take a look at if something were to happen to starter Miles Sanders this season.

The Cowboys claimed Malik Turner.
Turner is one of a little over a dozen players to get claimed after roster cuts were yesterday. The Cowboys are obviously completely stacked at receiver, so Turner won’t be a recommended fantasy option to star the season.

The Steelers claimed Joshua Dobbs.
After Pittsburgh traded Dobbs to a quarterback-needy Jags squad last season, they scoop their former draft pick back up. This is a good sign for Dobbs, as it obviously shows the Steelers think highly of him despite dealing him away last year.

The Dolphins are signing Antonio Callaway to the practice squad.
Callaway is suspended for the first seven games of this season. It’s difficult for NFL teams to trust Callaway with a 53-man roster spot, but the former Browns receiver will now have a chance to develop on the practice squad with Miami. Callaway is an exciting talent, but he needs to show that he can be reliable. The practice squad might be good for him, and the Dolphins are a spot where he might be able to work his way onto the active roster and into a gameday role this season.

Adrian Peterson is signing with the Lions, according to multiple reports.
This is a bit of a surprise with Detroit already having two young second-round picks in Kerryon Johnson and D’Andre Swift among those in the backfield, and it’s an indication of a major committee approach on offense. Peterson told reporter Josina Anderson: “They’re giving me an opportunity to play. I know coach (Darell) Bevell from my days in Minnesota. Ultimately I feel comfortable going there and helping them to get better.” AD reportedly received interest from a few teams after Washington released him, so his choice indicates the Lions are expected to give him a decent amount of playing time.

The 49ers released Kevin White.
White arrived with the Niners late in camp, so he was going to have a tough time making the 53-man roster. The former first-round pick should at least get a practice squad spot somewhere around the league soon.

The Patriots waived J.J. Taylor.
Taylor reportedly had an impressive training camp and received comparisons to Dion Lewis, so the Patriots will probably try to sneak him through waivers and onto the practice squad. The undrafted rookie running back is someone to watch in dynasty leagues.
