Join now >The Falcons have released Laquon Treadwell, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Treadwell was hoping to get his career on track with Atlanta after four seasons in Minnesota, but it didn’t happen. The former first-round pick is still young (he turned 25 over the summer), so we’ll see if he can land elsewhere and potentially stick around. Russell Gage is locked in as the Falcons’ No. 3 receiver behind Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley.

The Titans are releasing Trevor Siemian.
Especially during a season in which COVID-19 might come into play, it shouldn’t be much of an issue for Siemian to find a new team given his starting experience.

Washington released Cam Sims.
The big former Alabama receiver has spent the past two years with Washington, so he should have a decent shot to make the practice squad if no other team picks him up in the coming days.

Washington is releasing Richard Rodgers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rodgers was hoping to make the team and have a role on a wide-open depth chart at tight end, but Washington is going with younger options. The veteran will likely land elsewhere at some point this fall.

The Texans are signing Deshaun Watson to a four-year, $160-million extension, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The deal will keep him under contract through the 2025 season, and it will include $111 million guaranteed. Watson has proven to be a star for Houston after somehow falling outside the top ten in the 2017 NFL Draft, and both he and the team now have long-term security as they hope to establish themselves as a franchise that can consistently make deep playoff runs in the AFC. Through three seasons, Watson has gone 24-13 with 9,716 passing yards and a 71:29 touchdown-interception ratio (along with 1,233 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns). Watson carries high-end QB1 upside in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts this weekend.

The Bengals are waiving Brandon Allen, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Allen started three games last year in Denver, and he will now be available for other teams to potentially claim after Cincinnati decided to go with Ryan Finley as Joe Burrow’s backup.

The Browns are waiving Kevin Davidson.
The undrafted rookie quarterback from Princeton will likely have a good chance to join Cleveland’s practice squad. He’s off the fantasy radar for now.
