Join now >Amari Cooper gets shut out in Week 12.
Going against Patriots All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore, Cooper was held to zero reception on two targets in the Cowboys’ loss at Foxboro. Cooper was out of the game for some stretches, but this was a legit shutdown effort by Gilmore. The dynamic receiver nearly had a clutch fourth-down reception on a diving attempt late in the game, but the ball hit the ground and the play was overturned after a review. You can bet the Cowboys will look to get Cooper more involved as they look to get a win on Thanksgiving, but they’ll now have to contend with another shutdown cornerback (arguably the top player in the league at his position along with Gilmore) in the Bills’ Tre’Davious White.

Benny Snell gets 21 carries in Week 12.
Snell gained 98 yards on his 21 attempts against the Bengals, and he also added one reception for five yards in the Pittsburgh victory. The Steelers went with a committee approach with James Conner (shoulder) out again, but Snell was clearly the lead ball-carrier, with Jaylen Samuels getting just two carries (and Kerrith Whyte Jr. having the second-highest number of carries with six). Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was excited to get Snell back in the lineup after he missed a few games with a knee injury, and the rookie running back figures to remain the lead ball-carrier and a potential near-workhorse if Conner misses more time.

Chris Godwin puts on a show in Week 12.
Godwin caught seven passes for 184 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers’ victory against the Falcons. The Penn State product’s afternoon started with a 71-yard touchdown down the seam, where he showed exceptional focus to make the catch in traffic between two defenders while getting hit, and he was off to the races after he bounced off the deep defender and came up with the ball. And the second touchdown might have been even more impressive, as he ran a speed out and was somehow able to snag a pass that was badly thrown behind him and toward a chasing defender with one hand. This was Godwin’s first 100-yard game in over a month, but he also crossed 1,000 receiving yards on the season for the first time in his career and already has nine touchdowns on the year. Godwin rightfully received a ton of hype this preseason, but he was still a steal in nearly every fantasy draft.

Rashaad Penny goes over 100 yards in Week 12.
Penny carried 14 times for 129 yards and a touchdown in Seattle’s victory at Philadelphia for his first 100-yard game of the season (second of his career). The score game on a career-long 58-yard touchdown (and the longest play for the Seahawks this season) where he received great blocking while hitting the hole and going off to the races before bouncing off one defender to get into the end zone. Starter Chris Carson (eight carries, 26 yards) couldn’t get a lot going on the ground against the stout Eagles defense, but Penny was an excellent change-up and gashed the defense when he was in the game. Penny had just 167 rushing yards entering the game, so he nearly matched that total in one outing. He could be set for more work moving forward and is an intriguing name on the waiver wire this week.

Jared Cook scores in Week 12.
Cook caught six passes for 99 yards and a touchdown in the Saints’ victory against the Panthers. The veteran tight end was a frequent target all afternoon for Drew Brees, and the score came on a 20-yard out-and-up route from the slot. Since returning from his ankle injury, the free-agent addition has a 74-yard game and a touchdown in two consecutive weeks, and he has a score in four of his past five games total. Cook next plays on Thanksgiving Night against the Falcons team he had 74 yards against a few weeks ago.

D.J. Moore scores twice in Week 12.
Moore caught six passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns while adding one carry for eight yards in the Panthers’ close loss to the Saints. The second-year receiver first scored on a 51-yard touchdown where he got wide open down the field, and he later scored a game-tying touchdown on a contested catch in the end zone. Moore has been absolutely on-fire lately, with outings of 7/101, 9/120, 8/95, and 6/126/2 in his last four games (which would be a 16-game pace of 120 receptions, 1,768 receiving yards, and eight receiving touchdowns). The Maryland product should be in fantasy lineups next week against the Redskins.

Allen Robinson goes off in Bears’ Week 12 win.
Robinson caught six passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in the Bears’ victory against the Giants. The Penn State product had a whopping 104 receiving yards in the third quarter alone, and his touchdown came on a 32-yard deep ball where the pass was underthrown but Robinson showed good focus to catch it and get into the end zone. This is a strong bounce-back for A-Rob after he had just 15 yards last week on a night the entire Chicago offense struggled, and now he’ll face the Lions on Thanksgiving. Robinson had 86 yards against Detroit earlier this month.
