WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Justin Forsett | Retired RB

Running back Justin Forsett is retiring from the NFL.

A statement from Forsett is in the link below. Forsett had a very good career as a seventh round pick in 2008, including a 1,200-yard season while averaging 5.4 YPC in 2014 with the Ravens. He finished his career with 3,890 rushing yards (4.7 YPC, which is top 30 all-time) and 19 touchdowns, along with 210 receptions for 1,351 yards and a receiving touchdown. Congratulations to Forsett on his career. Maybe now he'll dedicate more time to Twitter, where he is one of the funniest athletes.

Justin Forsett rushed 22 times for 90 yards in the Broncos' season finale.

Forsett ends a year where he played for three teams on a high note. Splitting time with the Lions, Ravens, and Broncos, Forsett rushed 87 times for 291 yards (3.3 YPC) and one touchdown this season. He probably won't be back in Denver in 2017, and it's anyone's guess if he plays another NFL snap. If not, he ends his career with a respectable 4.7 yards per carry and 3,890 rushing yards.

Justin Forsett | Retired RB

Justin Forsett rushed five times for 11 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.

The veteran tied with Devontae Booker for the team-high in carries, but he received the red zone carries, while Booker handled the receiving work. Forsett will probably see closer to double-digit touches in next week's season finale against the Raiders, but he's not a good fantasy option.

Justin Forsett | Retired RB

Justin Forsett works again as Broncos' lead back.

Forsett got more work than rookie Devontae Booker, but received only ten carries for 37 yards. He also had four receptions, but for only 16 yards. Forsett will be hard to trust next week against the Chiefs, with the Broncos run game struggling.

Justin Forsett | Retired RB

Justin Forsett sees immediate playing time in first game with Broncos.

After being signed earlier in the week, Forsett led the team with six carries for 17 yards, adding three catches for 18 yards. The veteran back was familiar with Gary Kubiak's system from their time together in Houston, and he was still given more touches than Devontae Booker despite fumbling on his first carry as a Bronco. Booker did still out-snap Forsett, but by a slim margin. It looks like Forsett will lead the backfield down the stretch, but is no more than a decent FLEX play.
