The Bengals are signing Trent Taylor.
Taylor gives Cincinnati another inside receiver to work with on offense. The former fifth-round pick unfortunately had trouble staying healthy with the Niners, but he'll look to stay on the field and make an impact with Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
Trent Taylor has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Taylor will be out for this week, but he hasn't been given offensive snaps since Week 10, so this will have a bigger impact on special teams. The 49ers will again run things through Brandon Aiyuk this weekend, especially if George Kittle (foot) isn't back.
Kyle Shanahan does not expect Trent Taylor (foot) to play this season.
Taylor had complications from his preseason foot surgery, and he's had another surgery. If you've been holding Taylor in very deep leagues, you can just drop him at this point. This is unfortunate for San Francisco's expected top slot receiver entering the season, and hopefully we see him back on the field at full health in 2020.
Trent Taylor has a broken foot.
This came out of nowhere and was just announced during the Niners' preseason game broadcast. Taylor had surgery to have a screw inserted into his foot yesterday, and the team hopes that he's back early in the regular season. A broken foot typically takes at least a handful of weeks to heal, and it'd likely be good news if Taylor is back sometime in September. This is a big blow to San Francisco's offense, as Taylor was locked in as the team's starting slot receiver and was expected to have a key role as a heavily-targeted player for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. The Niners need someone—perhaps second-round rookie Deebo Samuel or veteran Jordan Matthews—to step up and claim the slot role while Taylor is out of the lineup. Taylor doesn't need to be drafted in fantasy leagues after this injury.
Trent Taylor catches three passes in Week 17.
Taylor gained 17 yards on his three receptions against the Rams, bringing his season total to 26 receptions for 215 yards and one touchdown. The 2017 fifth-round pick is entering an important third season in 2019, and his role is up in the air heading into the offseason.
Trent Taylor catches one pass in Niners’ loss.
Taylor made a nice catch down the sideline for 23 yards on his lone reception of the day versus the Bears. The second-year receiver shouldn’t be trusted in Week 7 against the Rams.
Trent Taylor catches one pass in Week 15 win.
It went for eight yards. Taylor isn't a recommended fantasy option.
Trent Taylor catches one pass in Week 14.
Taylor gained six yards on his lone reception against the Broncos. The second-year receiver also had a drop that was then popped into the air and intercepted, so it wasn't one of his better games. Taylor is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.
Trent Taylor catches 11-yard pass in Week 13 loss.
It was his only grab of the game. Taylor isn't a recommended fantasy option for the 2-10 49ers.
Trent Taylor catches one pass in Week 10.
Taylor gained 12 yards on his lone reception against the Giants. The second-year receiver isn't getting enough looks to be considered a strong fantasy option right now.
Trent Taylor catches one pass against the Cardinals.
Taylor gained seven yards on his lone reception in the Niners' Week 8 loss. The second-year receiver faces the Raiders next, but he's not a recommended fantasy option.
Trent Taylor catches one pass in Week 7.
Taylor, who was questionable coming into the game with a back injury, gained six yards on his lone reception against the Rams. The second-year receiver isn't a reliable fantasy option right now.
Trent Taylor (back) is active for Week 7.
Taylor isn't a recommended fantasy option, but it's good that he's back on the field for the Niners. He's more of a real-life asset for C.J. Beathard and the offense than a recommended fantasy option.
Trent Taylor (back) is officially questionable for Sunday.
Taylor was able to get up to a week of limited practices, so he's making progress. Consider the second-year receiver a game-time call for the Niners, who kick off at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday. Ideally, you have better options for your fantasy lineup, though.
Trent Taylor (back) is officially out against the Packers.
Taylor was listed as doubtful coming into tonight, so this was expected. Richie James could get a lot of work in the slot with Taylor out, but he's a risky fantasy play.
Trent Taylor (back) is listed as doubtful for Monday.
Taylor didn't practice all week; that, paired with the doubtful designation, indicates he will be inactive for Week 6 against the Packers. Perhaps he'll surprise everyone and play, but expect Taylor be ruled out on Monday.
Trent Taylor (back) remains out of practice.
It's not looking good for the second-year receiver, but perhaps he can at least get a limited practice session in tomorrow ahead of the injury report for the game being released.
Trent Taylor scores against Arizona.
Taylor was a reliable target for C.J. Beathard throughout the Week 5 loss, catching seven-of-eight targets for 61 yards and a touchdown. Taylor isn't a recommended fantasy option quite yet, but he's someone to keep an eye on particularly in PPR leagues.
Trent Taylor catches two passes in Niners' loss.
Taylor gained 12 yards on his two receptions (three targets) against the Chargers. Taylor is on pace for 36 receptions for 256 yards this season, so he's off the fantasy radar.
Trent Taylor catches three passes against the Chiefs.
Taylor was targeted four times versus Kansas City, gaining 24 yards on his three receptions. Taylor has just seven receptions for 52 yards this season, and he's not a recommended fantasy option at the moment.
Trent Taylor catches four passes in Week 1.
Taylor worked from the slot for Niners, gaining 28 yards on his four receptions (six targets). Taylor is a good option in the slot for Jimmy Garoppolo, but he's difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.
Trent Taylor caught two passes for 29 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams.
The rookie slot receiver finishes the season with 43 receptions for 430 yards and two touchdowns. Taylor could have an expanded role in 2018 with Jimmy Garoppolo getting more comfortable in the offense, but it probably won't lead to a ton of fantasy value in standard leagues.
Trent Taylor scores against the Jags.
Taylor was targeted four times in the Week 16 win, caching three passes for 19 yards and a touchdown. The score was on a pass near the end zone where he got open for a scrambling Jimmy Garoppolo. Taylor isn't a recommended fantasy option yet, but he's someone to keep an eye on for a surging 49ers team.
Trent Taylor caught four passes for 40 yards in a win over Tennessee.
The rookie slot receiver has combined for 12 catches in Jimmy Garoppolo's three starts, but he isn't a fantasy option in the fantasy championship, especially next week against the Jaguars.
Trent Taylor catches two passes against the Texans.
Taylor gained 11 yards on his two receptions (three targets). For now, he's only an option in dynasty leagues.
Trent Taylor catches all six targets in Week 13.
Taylor and new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo formed an instant connection against the Bears, gaining 92 yards in the win, with a long of 33 yards. In a receiving corps that isn't too crowded right now, Taylor is worth a look as a potential difference-maker down the stretch here.
Trent Taylor catches two passes in Week 12.
Taylor gained 35 yards on his two receptions, including a long reception of 29 yards. He's still more of a dynasty league option, but Taylor might carry some momentum toward next season over the final few weeks.
Trent Taylor caught two passes for 22 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
Taylor has a reception in every game this season, but he isn't a fantasy option.
Trent Taylor caught three passes for 33 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
Taylor has caught a pass in every game this season, but he's on pace for just 44 receptions for 364 yards and two touchdowns at the season's midway point. Keep him on the waiver wire.

He also lost a fumble. The rookie slot receiver can stay on the waiver wire heading into next Sunday's matchup with the Eagles.
Trent Taylor catches two passes in Week 6.
He gained 11 yards on his two receptions (five targets) against the Redskins. The rookie receiver is just a dynasty league option for now.
Trent Taylor catches one pass in Week 5.
The rookie receiver received only two targets in the game, gaining six yards on his one reception. He's a dynasty league option only right now.
Trent Taylor hauls in five passes as Niners lose in overtime.
Taylor has now seen an increase in catches each week to start his career, and went for a season-high 47 yards in Sunday's loss. Still, this offense is centered around Pierre Garcon and Carlos Hyde, and there isn't room to support a third consistent fantasy option. Taylor can remain on the waiver wire.
Rookie receiver Trent Taylor scores first-career touchdown in Week 3.
The 5'9" receiver from Louisiana Tech showed his ability from the slot, catching three of four targets for 32 yards and a touchdown. He nearly scored another touchdown after his first, but he was brought down right at the goal line. Taylor did have a drop late in the game, but it was on a pass that didn't look like it was going to go anywhere. Taylor is more of a dynasty option than standard league option right now.
Trent Taylor catches two passes in Week 2.
Taylor was only able to gain six yards on his two receptions, but the 49ers struggled as whole through the air. He gets the Rams in Week 3 (Thursday Night Football).
Trent Taylor catches one pass in Week 1.
The rookie receiver had an eight-yard reception on his only target. He's a dynasty hold, but not a fantasy option in standard leagues right now.
Trent Taylor catches three passes in first preseason game.
The Niners rookie had three receptions for 33 yards. Taylor should be a lock for the final roster, and he does have a chance to contribute behind Pierre Garçon and Marquise Goodwin as a reliable target for Brian Hoyer.
The 49ers select Louisiana Tech WR Trent Taylor in the 5th round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Taylor caught 136 passes for 1,803 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, doing most of his damage from the slot. At just 5'8" and not overly athletic, Taylor will need to win with instincts and toughness at the next level. It isn't out of the question that Taylor could make the team and work his way to playing time as a rookie for head coach Kyle Shanahan, but he would have a minimal fantasy impact.
