WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Vincent Jackson | Retired WR

Vincent Jackson has officially retired from the NFL.

Jackson's agent, Jonathan Feinsod, told ESPN that his client is "very happily retired" from the NFL. The big wide receiver wanted to play last season, but his retirement was expected after no one picked him up in 2017. Jackson was a second-round selection of the Chargers in 2005, and he worked as Philip Rivers' top wideout early in his career and put up three 1,000-yard seasons in San Diego. Then while in his prime, Jackson signed with the Buccaneers as free agent and put up three-straight 1,000 yard seasons before injuries hit him in 2015 and 2016. For his career, Jackson caught 540 passes for 9,080 yards and 57 touchdowns. Jackson might have been underrated during his career, but he was a big target that could make huge plays down the field and averaged 16.8 yards per reception during his 12 NFL seasons. We wish Jackson luck on the next phase in his life.

Vincent Jackson | Retired WR

Vincent Jackson wants to continue his playing career.

This, reported by Adam Schefter. It was also reported last week by other people. Jackson will be a free agent on March 9 and should draw some interest from teams. Jackson's season was cut short by a knee injury, but it was not a torn ACL as was reported during the season. Jackson could be a steal on a cheap free agent deal.
