Jordan Lasley | Free Agent WR

The Lions signed Jordan Lasley.

Lasley has been with the Ravens and Raiders this summer, so he’s now on his third team. But the Lions present an opportunity for the second-year receiver to carve out the No. 4 receiver role, especially after veteran Jermaine Kearse suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason. Lasley is worth monitoring in dynasty leagues as a potential long-term replacement for Marvin Jones.

Devin Funchess | Free Agent TE

Devin Funchess is dealing with a back injury.

Colts head coach Frank Reich says that Funchess has missed the last few days of practice, but the team is confident he’ll be ready for Week 1. Funchess dealt with a back issue and missed a game for the Panthers last season, so this is obviously a concern. The big receiver should probably be downgraded slightly in fantasy drafts.

Jordan Lasley | Free Agent WR

The Raiders have waived Jordan Lasley.

Lasley was waived by the Ravens earlier this summer, so he’ll now be on his third team after being drafted in the fifth round of last year’s draft. In his second NFL season, Lasley shouldn’t have much trouble finding interest around the league.

Saeed Blacknall | Free Agent WR

The Dolphins waived/injured Saeed Blacknall.

It’s unclear what injury the big receiver from Penn State is dealing with, but he’ll now hit waivers. If Blacknall clears waivers, he’ll revert to Miami’s injured reserve.

Antonio Brown | Free Agent WR

Antonio Brown has filed a new grievance against the NFL, according to multiple reports.

Brown already lost one grievance against the league, and it’s nearly impossible to see him somehow winning a new one. Either Brown is going to need to sign a waiver where he accepts all responsibilities for any future head injuries that may have been caused from the outlawed helmet (which the NFL probably doesn’t want to do because people would still blame them) or he’ll have to get used a new helmet. We’ll see if the Raiders remain supportive as AB looks to play with the helmet he wants, but they certainly wish this ordeal was over at this point. Tomorrow night’s episode of ‘Hard Knocks’ on HBO should be another interesting one.

Robbie Chosen | Free Agent WR

Robby Anderson has a calf injury.

Jets head coach Adam Gase says Anderson is day-to-day, so it doesn’t sound like this is something that puts his Week 1 status in jeopardy. Expect Anderson to return to practice soon. This would only get concerning if Anderson is listed on the Week 1 injury report leading up to the season opener against the Bills.

Theo Riddick | Retired RB

Theo Riddick (shoulder) is out six-to-eight weeks.

9News’ Mike Klis says Riddick suffered a slight fractured shoulder during Thursday’s preseason game. This six-to-eight week timeframe means Riddick should miss at least a couple of regular season games, but hopefully he’s able to get back by the end of September. The injury to Riddick should lock Devontae Booker into a roster spot, which looked uncertain after the addition of Riddick. Also, Riddick’s injury could lead to more third-down work for Phillip Lindsay early in the season.
