Michael Crabtree | Free Agent WR

Michael Crabtree scores twice in loss to the Chargers.

Crabtree caught two passes for 38 yards, including a couple touchdowns in the fourth quarter. First, the veteran got behind a flat-footed Casey Hayward for a 31-yard score, and then he caught a seven-yard touchdown at the goal-line to make it a 23-17 game—a score that stood as the comeback attempt ended on a strip sack. Crabtree should be back next season as a starter for the Ravens, and his fantasy value will be dependent on who else the team brings at the position, as it should be in a low-volume passing attack.

Antonio Brown | Free Agent WR

Steelers owner Art Rooney II says Antonio Brown isn’t likely to return to the Steelers.

On a possible return to Pittsburgh, Rooney said there’s “not that many signs out there that that’s going to happen.” This has been the way things have sounded since the Week 17 debacle in which Brown basically skipped work while still collecting his paycheck, including Mike Tomlin not shying away from stating the fact that it’s difficult for them to trust Brown at this point. Barring something unforeseen happening, it’s a matter of if, not when, AB is traded. Nothing can be official until the start of the new league year on March 13, but teams can still talk to each other, as was the case with the Alex Smith trade from Kansas City to Washington last year.

Marlon Mack | Free Agent RB

Marlon Mack plays great in playoff win over the Texans.

Mack rushed 24 times for 148 yards and a touchdown, also adding two receptions for six yards. The second-year back showed excellent vision, balance, and explosiveness all day, following the blocks of his dominant offensive line to control the game against a stout front. Mack should be featured once again next week in Kansas City as the Colts look to pull off another upset and advance to the AFC Championship.

Justin Jackson | Retired RB

Justin Jackson gets four carries in playoff loss to the Patriots.

Jackson carried one time for four yards and caught three passes for 22 yards in the Chargers’ Divisional Round loss. He got most of his action late in the game. The rookie running back played well in his first NFL season, and he should be locked into a role in the offense next season. Jackson likely won’t offer much fantasy value behind Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler in 2019 fantasy drafts, though.

Keenan Allen | Bears WR

Keenan Allen catches four passes in the Wild Card Round.

Allen gained 37 yards on his four receptions in the Chargers’ playoff victory at Baltimore. He also recovered an onside kick at the end of the game to avoid giving the Ravens strong field position as they attempted to complete a comeback. The Ravens did a good job on the Pro Bowl receiver throughout the game, and things might not get much easier for Allen if he’s shadowed by All-Pro Stephon Gilmore next week against the Patriots in Foxboro.

Marken Michel | Panthers WR

The Eagles have officially signed Marken Michel to a reserve/future deal.

With their season now over, the Eagles have been making moves to add players to the 90-man roster ahead of the offseason. Michel is the brother of Patriots first-round rookie running back Sony Michel, and he was an undrafted player out of UMass that signed with the Vikings in 2016. Michel then spent time with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL, and he’ll now look to carve out a role in the NFL for 2019.

Deshaun Watson | Browns QB

Deshaun Watson throws 49 passes in playoff loss to the Colts.

Watson was 29/49 for 235 yards, one touchdown, and one interception along with eight carries for a team-high 76 yards. The Colts did an excellent job of shutting down the Texans offense and putting pressure on Watson, but the second-year quarterback missed some throws including a potential touchdown at the end of the first half with Houston looking to cut into their 21-0 deficit (though it looked like DeAndre Hopkins might have stopped running on the route). The interception came in the first half when he didn’t read a zone defender correctly, and the touchdown was to Keke Coutee on a swing pass in the fourth quarter. Overall, this wasn’t a great performance for Watson, but he didn’t get much help from his teammates throughout the game. Watson will now enter the offseason fully healthy, and hopefully he gets a boosted offensive line put in front of him—and remember he’ll get Will Fuller back in the mix, and two have a great connection. Watson will obviously be a QB1 option in 2019 fantasy drafts after he was the first player in NFL history with 4,000 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 500 rushing yards, and five rushing touchdowns during the regular season.
