Ezekiel Elliott | Chargers RB

Ezekiel Elliott gets 25 touches in Week 15.

Elliott carried 18 times for 87 yards and caught seven passes for 41 yards along with a fumble lost in the loss to the Colts. He briefly left the game with an ankle injury, but he appears to be fine. As usual, Zeke powered forward to pick up positive yardage on his carries, and this was a fine showing considering Dallas’ offense was shut out. Fantasy wise, the turning point for Elliott was a fourth-down carry deep in the red zone, as instead of potentially punching it in for a touchdown, the Colts stuffed the run and forced an Elliott fumble. This makes it six straight games with at least 25 touches for Elliott, and he’ll be one of the best fantasy options in championship weeks when he faces the Bucs next Sunday.

Melvin Gordon III | Free Agent RB

Melvin Gordon was officially a full participant in today’s practice.

Gordon would have played in Week 15 if the game was on Sunday instead of Thursday night, and he’s ready to go for this Saturday night against the Ravens. Fantasy owners that survived the semifinals without Gordon can immediately insert the star running back into lineups as a strong RB1 for championship matchups.

Dak Prescott | Cowboys QB

Colts shutout the Cowboys in Week 15.

Dallas’ offense couldn’t really get anything going against Indy, and the passing game in particular struggled. Dak Prescott was 24/39 for 206 yards and an interception, and he didn’t have any carries in the loss. From a fantasy perspective, this was Prescott’s worst game of the season, and it came at a bad time for those that took a chance on him in the second round of fantasy playoffs. Prescott and the Cowboys will look to bounce back next week against the Buccaneers.

Sammie Coates | Free Agent WR

The Texans have waived Sammie Coates Jr.

Coates has filling a reserve role for Houston, so this doesn’t have big fantasy implications. The Texans might bring the former Auburn receiver back at some point.

Chris Godwin | Buccaneers WR

Chris Godwin did not catch a pass in Week 15.

The Ravens were a tough matchup, but it’s still a big surprise that Godwin didn’t catch any passes in Tampa Bay’s loss. This comes a week after a one-reception, 13-yard outing last week, so Godwin is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups entering championship weeks. He has upside as a talented player in an offense that can move the ball, though.

C.J. Anderson | Retired RB

The Rams are signing C.J. Anderson, according to NFL Network.

With Todd Gurley dealing with knee inflammation and backup Malcolm Brown out with a clavicle injury, the Rams are adding a veteran running back. Anderson was just briefly with the Raiders for a very short time after he spent about half the season with the Panthers, so he has some fresh legs if he is called upon. Anderson is not a highly-recommended fantasy pickup yet, but he’s worth a look particularly in deeper leagues.

Austin Hooper | Patriots TE

Austin Hooper held without a catch in win over the Cardinals.

Hooper was targeted once in the end zone, but the pass was broken up as he was surrounded by a couple Arizona defenders. Look for Hooper to bounce back next week against the Panthers as a low-end TE1 option.
